As soon as we saw the notification it was like the entire world stopped. I know for sure Zayn got extremely excited, even though he doesn't show it he still considers the guys best friends, because in real life he doesn't have anyone except me, and I don't have anyone except him. It has always been that way, since kindergarten. We aren't complaining though.

Me: okay
What am I supposed to do? How do I know everything's okay with him? I really want to call him but I can't let him hear my voice. I have a really specific high-pitched annoying voice, he will know who I am in a matter of seconds.
So I decided to text him.
Me: hi. i hope you're okay. i just wanted to tell you i love you and i am here for you. if you need anything, ANYTHING, i am here. also, i wanted to call you...i can't really talk but i can listen..only if you're okay with it? please call me if you're okay.
Those words, "I love you", it was a bit weird to write them but I wasn't lying. I really do love him, as a friend, obviously.
So I waited. And waited....and waited. It felt like 2 years when my phone suddenly buzzed. I answered the call and heard faint sobs...
"Tommo...."
