Chapter 8: Story of Genesis

WHEN both finished and went down, Yveo was still carrying his wife in his arms. Froilan and Yveo's closest cousin Sky were wide-eyed. Only Andrew had a calm look. But the three of them were like looking at a newlywed couple.

"Yveo, you can put me down." Gabrielle whispered dahil alam niyang may tatlong pares ng mga mata ang nakatingin sa kanila but Yveo just looked at her for a second and didn't budge. He was not bothered either by his visitors as he walked past them.

"Arrghh ang sakit sa mata." Biro ni Sky habang tinatakpan ang mga mata.

"Pero teka..." Agad siyang napatingin kay Andrew.

"Kailan pa sila naging ganyan ka close?" Sabay na tanong ni Sky at Froilan kay Andrew. They knew they were married for a year but they were also aware that Gabrielle and Yveo are not that close.

Andrew didn't answer and just walked towards the kitchen. Sumunod naman ang dalawa and again they were fed with a major Public Display of Affection as Yveo put his wife gently on a chair and served her breakfast.

"You should eat a lot to gain your strength." Yveo calmly said, his face was void of any emotion but his eyes tell otherwise, it was full of the gentleness of a loving husband.

"Strength para saan?" Pilyong tanong ni Sky na ikina pula ng pisngi ni Gabrielle.

"You're single. You wouldn't know." Simpleng sagot ni Yveo na ikinatawa ni Froilan at Andrew.

"Basag!" Bulong pa ni Froilan.

Gabrielle just laughed a little as she felt more and more comfortable with Yveo now than before.

"Tangina, pigilan niyo ko masasapak ko na to." Biro ni Sky.

Gabrielle looked at him. "I dare you, Sky." Seryosong sambit niya.

Napatawa si Sky ng pagak. "Di naman mabiro." Pero agad siyang natigilan at napatingin kay Gabrielle.

"Teka kailan ka pa natutong magsalita ng ganyan?" Tanong niya ng nakaturo ang daliri kay Gabrielle na ikinatigil din naman ni Yveo sa pagsalin ng pagkain sa plato ng asawa niya.

He looked at Sky with a cold look. "Put your finger down."

Sky laughed nervously and pointed his finger towards Froilan instead.

"Kailan ba?"

Tumawa lang si Froilan at Gabrielle sa reaction ng lalaki. Sky put down his index finger and sat on one of the chairs. "Makikain na nga lang."

"May pupuntahan ba kayo?" Tanong ni Gabrielle sa asawa niya habang kumakain at sabay naman sumagot ang mga lalaki.

"Wala." Yveo simply answered.

"Oo." Sagot ni Froilan at Sky.

"Aba bro, magkasama lang kayo ng asawa mo nakalimutan mo na agad na may lakad tayo?" Tanong ni Froilan na ikinatawa ni Sky.

Gabrielle looked at Yveo. "Okay lang naman kung aalis ka. May pupuntahan din sana ako."

Yveo stopped eating and looked at Gabrielle with a serious expression. "Where?"

Napahinto din si Gabrielle sa tono ng pananalita ng asawa. It was cold and she could even feel the coldness in her palms. Well she couldn't blame him if he was strict whenever she goes out dahil ilang beses na siyang tumakas sa puder niya.

Aalis sana sina Froilan para sa living room na maghintay nang napahinto ang tatlo sa narinig.

"I owned Phoenix Publishing and I am the author, Genesis."

Napatigil din si Yveo at napatingin sa asawa. He heard about Phoenix before. It was not a big company but it was sustainable. Kahit ilang taon pa lang ang Phoenix Publishing sa industriya, it could still keep up well with the other Publishing companies that were in the publishing business for a long time.

It was famous in the country but it went bankrupt 3 years ago when the most popular and anonymous Author disappeared without a trace. Phoenix Publishing's most treasured author, Genesis.

"Woah! I-ikaw si Genesis?" Sabay na tanong nina Froilan at Sky.

"Weh? Di nga?" Sky asked in disbelief.

Gabrielle looked at them, kung pwede lang sumigaw ang mga expression sa mukha nina Froilan at Sky. Nagsisisigaw na itong 'hindi kami naniniwala!'

"I lost my memories because of a car accident three years ago. And I just remembered everything a week ago. I am not asking you guys to believe me but I am telling the truth." Tumingin siya kay Sky bago nagpatuloy.

"And I heard Sky, you are an avid fan. I can give you an autograph right now and you'd be the judge para malaman mo kung nagsasabi ako ng totoo o hindi."

"Talaga pwede?" Sky excitedly asked at lalapit pa sana kay Gabrielle when he felt and ice piercing look from the man beside Gabrielle kaya agad siyang napatawa ng pagak at umatras.

He almost forgot there is a Possessive magnate guarding his wife. "Hehe...okay lang, na...naniniwala na kami."

Froilan touched his chin as he closely looked at Gabrielle. "Hindi kami makapinawala. You are the Legendary author Genesis? Hindi ko akalaing babae pala si Genesis at siya pala mismo ang may ari ng Phoenix."

Who would've thought that the Legendary Author Genesis who rarely appears in public and is also known as the godly author of Mystery, Crimes, and thrillers is a woman! A beautiful yet delicate woman to be exact! That's insane!

Genesis has lots of fans, mapa babae o lalaki dahil lahat ng genre kaya niya mapa romance, horror, fantasy o science fiction but Genesis was best known for mystery, crimes, and thriller.

And everyone thought that Genesis is a guy. Kapag nalaman ito ng publiko, it would be like a bombshell! It would cause a riot!

Genesis is popular to women, at tiyak na marami ang babaeng iiyak kapag nalaman nila na ang pinapatansya nilang si Genesis ay isang babae.

"I prefer to be anonymous hanggat maari." Gabrielle stated.

"Kaya pala hindi ka dumating sa Contract signing ng Rose Media para gawing movie yung isa sa sikat mong libro. Akala ng lahat nag laho ka dahil nalaos ka na at natapos na ang imahinasyon mo kaya wala ka ng matrabaho, but who would've thought that this is what actually happened." Froilan shook his head.

Gabrielle just nodded. "Yeah, Mom and I decided to stay in the country for the movie collaboration but I couldn't make it." She then looked at her husband with hopeful eyes.

"The reason why I want to go out is because I want to find Kyla and Kurt Morris. They are my trusted people who helped me run Phoenix Publishing, pero di ko na alam kung nasaan ang magkapatid."

Yveo tilted his head and looked at Andrew. "Find them in 15 mins."

Tumango lang si Andrew at lumayo habang may dinadial sa cellphone niya.

"Can he do that in 15 minutes?" Gabrielle asked.

Yveo slightly nodded. "Hmm. Finish your food."

"He can do that in just 10 minutes Sister-in-law. May sariling Intel ang Leviarez kaya wag ka na magtaka." Sky looked away. The PDA was blinding his eyes! Geez.

True to what Sky said, in just 10 minutes Gabrielle received an email on her phone about Kyla and Kurt's whereabouts. She then looked at Andrew and Yveo.

"Thank you."

"You take Danny with you." Yveo ordered kaya wala ng nagawa si Gabrielle kundi ang tumango. It will take just a matter of time for Yveo to fully trust her.
