Riley's POV

I stood at a distance as I watched Michelle talking to James. It was the end of the day, and I was waiting in James so we can walk home together. But than she showed up.

She twirled her hair flirtatiously as she talked to him. She said something that I couldn't hear, and he responded. She stopped twirling her hair, and snapped at him something I didn't catch. It looked like this was my time to help him.

"Are you coming James?" I called out. He smiled at me.

"Yeah of course." He said, pushing past Michelle.

"Sorry about her." He said as we started walking.

"No big deal. What did she want?" I ask.

"She asked me out, that's all." He replied.

"And what did you say?" I ask shyly.

"No of course!" He laughed.

"But why? Michelle is smart, pretty, and a great dancer!" I listed.

"That may be true. But I like someone else." He tells me.

"Who?" I ask.

"Can't tell you." He says.

"Why not?" I pouted.

"Because I can't!" He chuckled.

"Do I know her?" I ask. He thought for a minute.

"Yeah." He replied.

"What does she look like?" I ask.

"Oh, I can't tell you that, now can I?" He laughed.

"James!" I whined.

James's POV

Seeing Riley like this is probably the cutest thing. The way she pouts when I won't tell her just makes my day.

"Well here we are." I say when we arrive at Riley's house.

"Thanks for walking me." She says. "I'll ask my dad about tomorrow night too."

"Yeah. Bye." I reply.

"Bye." She says, turning to go into her house. Before she's out of reach, I grab her wrist.

"Wait!" I stop her. She turns.

"What?" She inquires.

"If he does anything to you, let me know." I tell her in a low tone. She hesitates before nodding.

"Alright." She says quietly before going into the house.
