Ship Wrecked

Chapter Two• Ghastly

Recap: "Now, let's go have some fun."

"All right, boys. Let's line it up!" I could hear Jay shout to the boys from the side.

"Come on Lonnie!" I ushered her out, making sure to pull the mask down to conceal my face. "It's almost time!"

"Assemble. Salute. Lower the points. Masks down. En garde," Jay signaled to the team to begin the battle. "Now," I ushered Lonnie out with a little push forward as the entire team started swingin' the swords around. I jumped in right after Lonnie as I started moving my cutlass back and forth against another boy who's features were unrecognizable. It was easy enough to get him out the ring. I noticed as every one was slowly backing away because of how simple they kept getting out. Finally, it was just Lonnie, some other guy, and myself. I was able to make out the other male to be Jay by his height and body type. Quicker than I had spoken, the guy was swiftly pushed out by the both of us. All who was left was Lonnie and meself. In a second, she swung to my left just as I had turned right, my instincts kicking in. I swiftly moved the cutlass to her right shoulder but she moved away. I dodged the sword coming at me by back flipping into the air using me cutlass as a weight. The boys stood around in awe, takin in every movement. In the corner of me eye, I noticed as Jay took his mask off, watching us intently. Lonnie outstretched her hand with her cutlass at the end. Me arm straddled her own as she looked up at me in what I assume was fear.

I managed to hit her elbow slightly, enough to knock the sword out of her hand, grabbing it in my hand. My hands switched back and forth in swinging motions, forcing her to go back until she had no choice but to leave the circle, meaning that I was the last one in. People around me had a face of pure shock. Jay was one of the best fencers out there, in fact, he was the team captain. If the captain can be easily taken out by some new comers, of course it'll raise some concern and interest. I turned to Lonnie who shook her head slightly to signal our reveal. With an easy swipe of her helmet, the messy long brown hair of Lonnie came to view. "It's Lonnie," Boys whispered from all around in disbelief. Followin' after Lonnie's reveal, I slipped off the protection, lettin' me black hair escape. "It's Cyrus!" The boys easily spread around. Jay couldn't help but smile at the both of us.

"Not bad," Jay came over to both of us, mainly facin' Lonnie since he already knew about me fencin' skills. In fact, I was the one who taught both Carlos and Jay back at the Isle. "You should put us on the team," Lonnie stepped forward with an eager glow. It finally hit me that this was her plan all along. She simply wanted to play along with the team. I couldn't deny, I also wanted to be apart of the team. Cheer season was out so there wasn't much physical activities that I could do. Girls couldn't do a lot in Auradon due to social standards that made no sense. Jay was considerin' the idea but as he was about speak, Chad Charming came up with his bilge suckin-stupid face. "Hey! W-what?! No, no, no. We'll-We'll be the laughing stock of the league!" His eager little face glarin' at me with his beady eyes full of Hades fire. He was just jealous that some girls could easily take him out. Everything in me had to fight back the urge to yell at him. Another incident like this could send me back to F.G. head quarters and mother of sea knows how many time I've already been there. "A-and what's gonna happen next?! We'll have girls playing tourney?!" Chad flat out insulted all women. I bit back me tongue again to hold back the urge to spit at him. What's so wrong with girls playing a little tourney. Girls will probably kick the boys out if we ever got the chance to play. "Come on, guys," Chad turned around, facing around for the other guys help. My eyes caught onto the familiar white and black hair. He was staring at me with so much admiration that I couldn't help but smile. However, the idea of his eyes looking at Jane like that tugged at my mind so I had forced my case away.
