Redemption

Frost sighed and turned around, he didn't know why he saved Asriel, he didn't want to, but something gnawed at him, why didn't he want to save Asriel, Frost paused "I-don't know why Azzy, but when I do... I'll tell you" Frost said as he walked off, Asriel felt like no one wanted him around, that he would be better off dead, he summoned his sword and raised it above his head, he brought it down aiming for his heart, Frost heard Chara scream to Asriel, Frost turned around to see Asriel attempt to kill himself, Frost reacted and threw himself into the blades path, Frost dropped to the floor in pain, Asriel fell to his knees next to him
"WHY? WHY WOULD YOU STOP ME!?" Asriel yelled, Frost turned so he was facing the floor, he started coughing up blood, he smiled weakly
"Because... you're my brother Azzy, I'm not gonna let you kill yourself" Frost said as he clutched his stomach, Asriel tried to help Frost but it was no use, the wound was too deep, Asriel tried anyway and managed to fully heal Frost, he lied on the floor for a while before Asriel extended his arm, Frost smirked and grabbed his forearm and Asriel helped Frost up, Frost pulled Asriel into a hug, Asriel was taken off guard but hugged Frost back
"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry for everything" Asriel weeped, Frost patted Asriel's back, he knew what he had been through, he promised himself he would be more protective over everyone, Chara and Frisk also hugged Asriel, they stayed like that for a few minutes before Asgore walked over, trident in hand, he raised it over his head and went to strike Asriel for the king of Humans, Frost quickly turned and summoned his sword and stopped the blow, sparks flew everywhere, Asgore was stunned and the king ordered them both to stand down,
"My friend, walk with me, bring that Frost boy with you, I wish to speak with him and Asriel" the king said as they followed him, they reached the castle before Frost asked
"What do you want to 'Talk' about?" The king looked over his shoulder,
"You are the brother of Zack Hawk are you not?" Frost gritted his teeth behind his mask
"No... not anymore, or for a while" Frost replied, the king glanced at him, he felt the anger radiating from Frost
"You're determination to kill your brother is... impeccable" the king said, Frost glared at him, then looked at his hand
"When you've gone through what I've been through, you would know why" Frost said with anger, Asriel looked at Frost
"Hmm... but I won't, so I don't care for your backstory" the king said trying to get a reaction, Frost began to summon his sword but stopped himself, he was angry, but he wasn't going to let a few words get to him
"How are your grandparents?" The king said "I heard they deserved to die for their weakness" the king said, Frost's rage became to strong for Frost to contain, he rushed towards the king, his blade drawn, he was about to swing and kill the king with such speed, the king turned around to see his blade next to his neck, his eye flaming, the king took a few steps back, Frost was panting, he was furious
"If I wanted it, You'd be dead where you stand!" Frost yelled
"Then why did you hold back?" The king asked, Frost paused for a brief moment before answering
"Sometimes... it's better not to kill your opponent, because in the end, they will always win" Frost said as his sword disappeared, Asriel put his hand on Frost's shoulder, Frost put his hand on top of it and stood next to him, Frost had a bad feeling of the war to come, Sans teleported into the room and saw Asriel, he immediately attacked Asriel but Frost prevented any damage, his eye flaming was enough to make Sans back down
"I'm sorry it's just... I find it hard to trust someone who has committed genocide hundreds of times" Sans said, Asriel looked down
"Please don't remind me, it's one thing not to trust them, it's another thing to live with it, knowing you had no control " Asriel said, Frost was still annoyed Sans attacked Asriel
"Attack him again... and I'll kill you" Frost said in a low, intimidating tone, Asgore was surprised that Sans backed down
"Sans? You never back down" he said, Sans looked at Frost, his eye began to glow, Frost was prepared for a fight
"Bring it!" He yelled as Sans summoned a gaster blaster, Frost summoned a throwing knife and disabled it, Sans couldn't react, Frost took advantage of the situation and dashed over to Sans, his sword was on his neck by his next breath, Frost stopped himself from killing him, Sans was stunned at his speed
"I-I didn't even have a chance to-"
"SHUT IT!!" Frost yelled as Frisk and Chara walked in, Sans summoned a bone and it hit Asriel's shoulder, he yelled in pain, Frost turned to see Asriel in pain, before he knew it he was on the floor, the right side of his face was bleeding, Sans had punched him, Frost got up and didn't fight back, he glared at Sans
"Leave now, before I fucking end you" Frost said, he wiped the blood from his cheek and laughed slightly, he glanced over at Frisk who was shocked, Chara help Asriel, Sans looked quite guilty for what happened and apologised
"There's no time for apologies Sans!, Right now we have to stop my brother" Frost said, Sans walked over to Asriel and extended his arm, Asriel was hesitant but shook Sans' hand, Asriel looked over at Frost, he chuckled and rolled his head, he turned around to leave but the king asked him a personal question
"What would you do if someone was to kill someone you cared for?" Frost stopped and turned his head, he chocked on his words slightly but managed to say his sentence
"I'd kill them, and everyone that knew them, because no matter what... They're my friends, but hell this could all be a bad dream right?" Frost said as he walked away, Asriel remembered what he said but was talking to Sans, John and George followed Frost to make sure he was alright, Frost had a knack for hurting himself, John saw Frost with his throwing knives and his sword, John walked up next to him
"So... you're scared , aren't you?" John said in a serious tone, Frost sighed and looked at him
"Yeah... I am, I'm scared because what if I can't protect them?" Frost said, nearly breaking down, John comforted him
"You will, and I know you will, because right now, your brother regrets attacking" John said with a smile, Frost looked at him in a confused way, John left Frost to wonder about what he meant
"You really are the quite one, and you make no damn sense" Frost said to himself as he walked back into the castle, when he reached the room he was just in everyone was leaving for the meeting room, a large room with an elevated floor over looking a yin yang, the king sat down in his seat, his wife sat next to him, every else took their seats, Asriel and Frost with Asgore and Toriel, Chara with her parents and Frisk with her's, the king spoke up
"I don't remember inviting Asriel Dreemurr to this meeting!" He bellowed, Frost stood up
"He's staying, we need him here" The king sighed and continued, Frost sat back down and they continued, the king asked Frost about any plans his brother would have, Frost chuckled and pointed at a map of the land
"If anything, he'd try move supplies and men through this cavern here, it's quicker than most routes" Frost said
"And you're sure?" The king asked
"I'm as sure as I can get, I guess we couldn't send a two man squad to scope it out?" Frost suggested, the king smiled
"Looks like you volunteered yourself, Asriel I would like you to go with him" the king said, the two stood up and jumped down, Frost rolled and opened the door, the two made for the mountain where the troops would pass, they laid in wait for a while before hearing the clanking of heavy armour, Frost nudged Asriel signalling to get out of sight, the men passed with supplies, Frost looked up and saw John and George on the other side, the soldiers noticed him, they fired everything they had, Asriel stepped on a weak part the rock and he fell into the middle of the soldiers, they kicked him several times before slamming his head against the cavern side, Zack walked up to Asriel and grabbed his pistol which was decorated with stars and lightning, he looked at it and scoffed
"How is Crystal?" He asked, Asriel was paralysed with fear, Frost jumped down in front of Asriel as John shot several men George jumped down and shot a group of armed guards, Asriel was shot in the heart before Frost's Kunai landed in his brother's chest, the bullet destroyed his locket and pierced his heart, he fell to the ground and gripped Frost's arm, Zack just watched
"I don't wanna go again, please Frost, help me," Asriel said, Frost had no reaction but shock, Asriel gripped Frost's arm, Frost gripped Asriel's
"I'm so afraid, I'm so scared... I'm so, sorry..." Asriel said, Frost's rage burnt as Asriel weakly looked at him
"I guess... it's all just a bad dream..." he said, his grip loosened and his arm dropped to the floor before he faded to dust. Frost couldn't save him this time and he knew it,
"Well that's one down... three more fuckers to go" he smiled as he aimed Asriel's pistol at Frost, he slowly got up and turned to his brother, his breathing got heavier, his eye erupted into flames, they spread to his right arm, descending onto his hand, it burnt every colour, he summoned his sword and pointed it at his brother, moments later, Frost had several men rushing him, his sword caught fire, Frost smiled and swung it horizontally, the flame cut through the men, disintegrating them slowly, Frost's breath was pure fire, his anger burnt stronger than ever, several more men charged at Frost, he raised his sword and brought it clashing down on a soldier, his chest plate shattered, he turned and cut another one, fire spread on the outside of the gash, Frost cut down multiple enemies, Frost looked at his brother, he tried to escape, Frost planted the tip of his sword into the ground and the earth erupted into flames around him, a large line of Fire and lightning shot straight towards his brother, it caught him and his brother was killed,

Meanwhile

Frisk felt Frost's anger and mustered all of her determination, her eyes glowed a crimson red, Frisk saved the timeline before the two left, she was about to reset to that point but Sans stopped her
"Listen kid, if you do that Frost won't exist in this timeline anymore" Sans said, Frisk hesitated but knew Sans was lying, she hit the reset button and the timeline reversed, Frost and Asriel left the castle, it felt familiar to them both, they remembered doing it, Chara and Frisk remembered seeing them leave,
Time skip the battle
Asriel was stunned he was in the same position, this time Frost jumped earlier and threw his kunai, Zack shot Asriel, he dodged the bullet and summoned his sword, he attacked multiple soldiers, Frost and Asriel were back to back, Frost turned to face Asriel's direction and stabbed an enemy, Asriel faced the opposite direction and cut another soldier down, George and John were busy taking out enemies, they got bored and jumped down to help, John was wearing black leather armour, he wore gloves and a mask to hide his identity, he grabbed his sword and cut the head off of a soldier, George jumped in the air and cut a soldier's neck, he kicked another into John's blade, Asriel and Frost were surrounded, John and George started cutting down soldiers to get to Asriel and Frost, Asriel was about to be stabbed but deflected the swing and killed the soldier, Frost had two blades aimed at him, he deflected one and couldn't react in time to hit the second, Asriel stopped it, he gritted his teeth and yelled, Asriel started to rise, he held out his left arm and summoned a Goner Blaster, Frost was injured but everyone stopped, Zack fled and his men were slaughtered by Asriel's Goner Blaster, those who remained, well let's just say... they didn't last long to the joint forces of Asriel, Frost, John and George. Asriel helped Frost up, he hugged Frost and apologised, Frost just laughed
"You have nothing to apologise for Azzy, you know that" Frost said, Asriel looked at him, they walked home, Frost was hit in the leg by a sword and in the shoulder by an arrow, Asriel helped Frost while John and George made sure no survivors of Zack's forces got away, they reached the castle and walked in, Sans went to attack Asriel
"Sans stop! Asriel saved my life alright? I think he's redeemed himself" Frost said as he sat next to Frisk, Asriel healed him and Sans apologised for his actions towards Asriel
"I know what you've been through and I know you didn't want to do those things" Sans said, Asriel smiled at Sans, he got up and shook Sans' hand, Nova walked in, John called to George
"Hey George! Get over here... NOW!" He yelled, George rushed in and stopped, Nova was in tears
"What's going on?" He said whilst comforting her
"They took my family" she said through tears, George stopped and gritted his teeth, he looked at John
"You're with me, where are they?" He asked
"City centre" Nova said, the two rushed off and Sans comforted her, he looked at Asriel
"If you want to truly redeem yourself, you'll go with them!" He said, Asriel ran after John and George, Frost was anger he couldn't go help as some of his injuries reopened, Frost healed himself for a while before trying to get up, he stumbled back to the floor and Frisk caught him, he glanced out of the window to see an explosion...
