Story: it was during battle and another floor decided to steal Magnus expecting his friends to come try to save him, they thought they would want their healer/friend but no. Floor 19 knew it was a trap. Also they know if someone kidnaps him they'll regret it. So this poor team is left defending this grumpy blond with a killer glare for a strategy that doesn't work. They gagged him because he was lamely calling for help, not even distressed, just to be a little shit.
