jess' funeral.

she had to get the formal clothes at goodwill because all their other clothes burned in the fire. Jess didn't just think roses were dumb, she also thought wearing black to funerals and shoes in general were dumb, so this outfit is the best thing sam could pull together in her memory. in this AU jess has an existence as an individual and character outside of how she pertains to sam because that would've been cool to have in canon but the writers are mostly heterosexual white cismen who can't tolerate a woman, POC, or queer person with a pulse and good development in their show about white men with guns shooting things. grr.

MOVING ON. it's finals week and she was tired but wanted Starbucks SO BAD but she was SO TIRED. these middle two are older and messier but the point still stands. Stanford era.
sam's outfit consists of jess' Juicy Couture sweatpants bc it's 2004, a cut apart ARMY shirt that used to just be a normal shirt but jess decided sam needed some more spice in their closet so now it's a u-neck crop top, boots sam laced on autopilot she's had since her feet stopped growing in junior year of high school, and the cardigan they were wearing when they realized they NEEDED coffee. all of this was picked haphazardly out of the hamper and she hasn't gotten much judgement because that's just where everyone's at. they someone with their torso barely covered wearing clashing colors and go "yeah... yeah."

I don't have much story other than that i was trying to draw normal sam but then the features kept turning out too soft so i said fuck it and made it fem!sam. so enjoy transfemme sam.

finally, a couple of random ladies working on silhouette distinction then a breakdown of fem!Winchester's silhouettes. in this AU, Sam is transfem so i was kind of trying to point out the distinctions between ciswoman deanna and transfem sam. I realize transwomen can have more feminine shapes, but that's usually from early usage of hormone blockers and often surgery. sam did not and does not have access to these things, both financially and chronologically. they didn't come out until they were at Stanford, and by then her body had almost entirely developed as male. she's been getting estrogen, but it's hard to do any surgeries while on the road. as such, she has a less feminine shape and appearance in comparison to deanna, for whom I tries to pull the traits of male!dean into female land. so she still has bowlegs and relatively broad shoulders and a muscular build, but now with boobies and wider hips and a narrower waist. I hope that wasn't too boring haha, I just have put a lot of thought into this AU and want to do it justice :) also, you may have noticed that Sam's hair length and facial structure does vary, and that's mainly due to a lack of solid reference images. I alternate between using Missy Peregrim (i think that's how it's spelled. look her up im so gay okay and she's a lookalike it's so weird) and actual edited pictures of sam to be a woman. additionally, I can't decide whether they have long or short hair because both make sense. it comes down to why sam has longer hair in canon, really.
