Crush

"You should go back. He then brushed it with his fingers.

He looks so good with his mid length hair. I wonder what he looks like in a crew cut?

"T-Thank you," I said when I realized I'm staring too much.

He nodded and jogged going back to the field.

He winked at me and gave me a smile. I blushed and awkwardly smiled back. We locked eyes for a few seconds nawala lang nang may tumamang bola sa dibdib niya.

When I got home that day, I apologized to my parents for my impulsiveness.

And after that, we are all okay again.

Communication is really important in the family. Communication enables us to understand each other's concerns. It also enables us to be more open to each family member, helping us to build a healthy relationship.

I pulled the bowstring and aimed the arrow to the target. I let go when I locked in the target but unfortunately it didn't get a bull's eye.

"Hija, lunch is almost ready. At parating na rin ang mga bisita. You should get ready," Mommy said on the veranda. Tumango naman ako sa kanya.

It's a Saturday at nasa rest house kami ngayon na pag-aari ng mga Fuentes, sa side ni Mommy. This was recently renovated and they decided to invite their friends over lunch.

Umakyat na ako at naghanda. Mommy picked a mini floral dress for me to wear.

"Welcome, please come in," Mommy said.

"It's nice seeing you again, Julianna. And your kids are all grown up," Bati naman ni Daddy.

"It's nice seeing you both too. I heard your daughter is now settling with you?" Tinig iyon ng babaeng tinawag nilang Julianna.

"Ah, yes. Sabrine!" Mommy called.

Lumapit ako sa kanila. I was shocked to see Pierce and Guillana behind the woman who my parents called Julianna. Ipinakilala ako ni Daddy sa babae.

"Julie, this is my daughter Alexandra Sabrine," I smiled to the woman. "Alex, this is Atty.

"You have a very lovely daughter. She's so beautiful. Call me Tita Julie, okay? And I hope you know my son, Pierce?" Sabi niya at bumaling sa anak atsaka binigyan ako ng makahulugang ngiti.

Pierce smirked and shook his head. Guillana as usual seems so irritated of my presence.

"Stop it, Mom. She's only thirteen," Guillana said.

"As if she's not going to be eighteen soon," Tita Julie said and looked at my parents.

My mom and dad laughed heartily.

"Oh Julianna, I don't think our only daughter will be in a pragmatic marriage. Right Amerrido?"
