Chapter 03

New Kid

"You'll be fine," I smiled as I speak to myself in front of the mirror.

"Tao lang din sila. Like you," I said to calm myself down.

Daddy's right-hand man did all the work. Lahat ng kailangan siya ang lumakad. All I did was to sign and fill up some papers.

"Hi, I'm Alexandra! You can call me, Alex. Nice to meet you," I practiced speaking.

I even practiced to smile. Am I even okay?

I sighed and looked at the Michael Cromer München backpack on my bed. Oh gosh, this is really happening!

This is what I want, right?
But why is it making me feel anxious?

I brushed my natural wavy brown hair one more time and decided to go down.

"Oh sweetie, you look good on your uniform. Are you excited?" Si Mommy habang pababa ako sa grand staircase. Parang mas excited pa siya sa akin.

I smiled. "Good morning, Mommy. Yes, I'm excited," I said and kissed her cheeks.

I'm not sure if what I'm feeling is excitement.

"Where's Daddy?" I asked.

Umirap siya bago bumaling ulit sa akin."Your dad was early for work. I told him to at least drive you to school, but he said he's running late for a meeting,"

Kita ko ang iritasyon sa kaniyang mukha but in the end she shrugged and smiled at me.

Mommy told the driver to get ready kaya naman lumabas na ako.

"Good luck, hija. Make a lot of friends, okay?" Sabi niya habang kumakaway sa akin.

I smiled as a response. Pumasok ako sa sasakyan at nagulat na may tao sa front seat.

"Good morning, Alex." He turned to me and smiled.

"G-Good morning... Loviel," I said.

Kumunot ng bahagya ang aking noo. Nagtataka kung bakit siya nandito. My bodyguards are in a separate car just behind us.

"Your father wants me to discuss some matters with the President of the university," He said and smiled again.

This guy gets creepier each day.

Dahan-dahan akong tumango sa kanya at hindi na pinahaba ang usapan.

I feel so nervous and almost shaking. Pinagbuksan ako ng driver samantalang si Loviel ay bumaba na.

"Good luck on your first day," Loviel said before leaving and heading to a different direction.

"Thanks.." I said but I'm not sure if he heard it.

Tiningnan ko ang mga estudyante na tila excited halos lahat sila ay may mga kasabay at nagkakamustahan. Ako lang ata ang nag iisa.

I felt out of place.

This is just the start.

"Baby steps, Alex. Baby steps," I whispered to myself and sighed. I continued to walk feeling a bit positive.

Ngunit habang naglalakad ako ay napansin ko ang tingin ng mga estudyante. Akala ko sa akin sila nakatingin. They are staring what's behind me.

I looked behind me and saw Tom and Jerry.

Oh I forgot. Tumigil ako sa paglalakad at hinarap sila.

They are quite intimidating. Or should I say they look intimidating.
