Chapter 33 – Memories

[Naomi Rivero’s P.O.V]

“Bro!! Miss na kita! Na-kita mo na si Dad? Akalain mo yun ang FC ko sa magulang mo HAHA” Tinawanan ko lang si Harvey. We are talking through skype.

“Matagal ka nang FC! Ngayon mo lang alam?” Tanong ko naman

“Weh? Miss mo na ako Bro?..Uy alam mo ba Bro may magandang babae ako nakita sa Park kanina. Pula buhok niya eh. Nung nilapitan ko naman siya her name was Clary” I widened my eyes and started to burst out laughing.

“Bakit? Anong nakakatawa?” Tanong niya and lalo naman akong tumawa

“Isa mo pang tawa ie-end call ko na ‘to” Sabi niya and I stopped pero pinipigilan ko lang

“Clary Montenegro is my Best friend and she is gonna be engaged this Year month of December, kay Karlo Martin. Remember Karlo?” Tanong ko and he pouted

“Ang daya naman kasi!...Eh kung ikaw nalang kaya?” Pinandilatan ko siya ng mata and I glared at him

“Sira! Friendship over na ‘to kung itutuloy mo yan” Sabi ko

“Joke lang naman HAHAHA” Sabi niya and I just chuckled

“Sige na bye na Bro may meeting pa ako with the architect” Sabi ko and he waved goodbye and then turned off my laptop

I hurriedly fixed myself and sinuklay ko na din yung buhok ko. I looked at myself through the mirror one more time.

“Whoever that Mr. Mer—whatever he should be decent enough” I said to myself and took my bag then headed out of the Suite.

“Good Morning Ma’am” Bati saakin nung driver ko

“Good Morning” I greeted back and Pumasok na ako sa passenger seat

“Where to ma’am?” Tanong nung driver ko

“Did dad inform you about my meeting with the Architect?” I asked

“Yes ma’am but Mr. Gonzales said meet him at his usual place” Sabi nung driver ko. Napataas ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya

“I thought it’s Mr. Mer—or whatsoever the continuation of his surname” Sabi ko

“Mr. Mercado? No ma’am Mr. Rivero says he was wrong about what he have announced for you. The associate partner of the highly paid Architect namely Mr. Gonzales is Mr. Mercado.” Napataas nanaman ang kilay ko sa mga sinabi niya

“Uhm what’s your name again?” Tanong ko

“Ralph”

“No Full Name” Sabi ko

“Ralph Klein Parker” Sabi niya

“How come you know all of this?”  Tanong ko

“I am the assistant secretary of Mr. Rivero” Napa ‘ahh’ nalang ako. Jusko akala ko simpleng driver lang ‘to na hatid sundo saakin. Hindi pala. Kaya pala alam niya halos lahat.

Hindi na ako nag-salita pa matapos kong malaman ang mga kailangan kong malaman sa Driver ko. Mr. Gonzales, Mr. Mercado. I hope it’s not what I think it is.

Habang nagda-drive si Ralph I watched the road and saw couple of cars and people walking on the sidewalk like it’s the normal thing for them.

“We’re here Miss Naomi” Sabi ni Ralph and I raised my eyebrows once again

“A bar?” Sabi ko naman

“This is what Mr. Gonzales said. And for you to be easy on looking for him, he says that he’s wearing light blue long sleeves and a dark navy blue tie. And based on his message a while ago, he’s at the counter” I can’t believe this Mr. Gonzales!
