So close but yet...so far

"Ha! Sasuke has tendencies to always assume things, he always got our team into trouble in the old days." Naruto smiling big, getting underneath his friend skin.

"Nani! That was you all the time loser!" Sasuke falling for Naruto's bait. It work Every time.

"Who do you think your talking to?! This the Hokage your speaking to ya know!!" Naruto who would too also fall for Sasuke's pesters. 

Kaiya and Boruto saw the two grown ups bicker and just simply rise eyebrows at the whole situation. 

"I'll carry Sarada and you get them two to stop, deal?" Boruto suggesting. 

"Deal." Kaiya with no another choice agreed.

"Hidden leafs Hospital... Late evening" 

The skies were filling with stars one by one as Naruto and Sasuke and the others return to the village. Sarada and Sasuke both were check into the hospital. While Boruto and Kaiya headed home. 

Sasuke lay alone in the hospital bed, staring straight up at the ceiling, replaying the moment in his mind. Kaiya's face. How grown she look. How beautiful she grown to be. 

"How do I fix this? What do I do?... I wish you were here to tell me.. Karin."

There were a couple of knocks at the door, Sasuke sitting himself up to see it was Naruto coming in. Closing the door behind him. 

"How are you feeling?" Naruto standing near the bed. 

"My side is better than before but as for me things are still complicated." Sasuke staring ahead.

"Which part? Sarada also being your daughter? Or.. the fact that you almost kill Kaiya today?" Naruto bluntly telling it. 

"..... Why didn't Sakura say anything? How could you not Naruto?!" Sasuke snapping back.

"Sasuke you left with no trace.. Sakura got pregnant and I was here raising Kaiya. Trust me it was hard for me to not say anything, Kaiya deserved to be raise by her parents to have the Uchiha name like Sarada does. But instead Kaiya was shadow over as soon as her parents were gone. I wasn't going to let that happen to her. So I gave her the Uzumaki name, I gave her a home, a family. I did the very thing Karin wanted for her." Naruto said how it was. 

"Its hard for me to think that all this time I was gone, was probably wasted, Karin made me promise her to watch over Kaiya. Instead I didn't. I just didn't want to let go of her. I didn't want to accept it. That Karin was gone... taken from me. From us. Now... my own daughter doesn't even know I'm her dad." Sasuke feeling the pain flow to the surface. A row of pain that he kept dormant for so long. 

Naruto did what he does best and encourage his friend to not give up. 

"A slice of Karin is also apart of Kaiya, right here right now, alive. You didn't lose her completely so don't give up now Sasuke. There's still time for you build something special with Kaiya and Sarada as well. A little at a time you will be able to fix this." Naruto once again giving the same smile to Sasuke that he made at the last battle they ever fought, when they both reconcile again. 

"hmph! I guess there's a brain in there after all... Your right I won't let my chance slip by to get to know my own daughter. I won't give up on her." Sasuke making it his oath to do so.

Sakura Pov. 

On the other side of the patient unit Sarada had finally awoken to her mother sitting right next to her. Sakura worries faded away as soon she heard her daughter calling out her name.
