Chapter 60: My Girlfriend
Easton

*next week*

"Put me down!"

"No can do, baby." I chuckle, fixing her over my shoulder.

"Cute bum." One of my friends, Jason, laughs.

"Don't look at her." I growl, shoving him away to sit down.

Setting Adeline down besides me, I watch as she shakes her head, trying to regain focus.

"You good?"

She smiles sweetly before fixing her hair in place, nodding at me. "Yeah, just dizzy."

I place my palm over her eyes and hold them there for a moment, removing them when she stops fidgeting. "Better?"

"Yeah."

"Do y'all mind?" Jared exclaims, sitting next to Adeline. "Flirting in front of my salad like that."

My girlfriend turns away to talk to him and I pout, taking my phone out my pocket.

Scrolling through my social media, I don't miss the two of them exchange something, laughing quietly.

"Do you want one, East?" She turns around to me again and holds her hand out, revealing gummy bears. "It's the good stuff."

"She gave me her pop rocks in exchange."

"Sure."

Adeline drops some in my hand before turning around again, her hair hitting me in my face.

This girl is something else.

"You're new, what's your name?"

"Madison."

"Well that's a nice name." I state briefly, causing her face to go red.

Pretty basic.

She starts stuttering before standing up, sitting in a seat closer to mine.

"And you are?"

"Easton Kim."

"I'd like to get to know you more." Madison reaches out to touch me but I push her hand away, shaking my head.

"You're name is pretty, but my girlfriend's own is prettier. I apologize."

The room door burst open and I look up, watching as the teacher sets her stuff down.

Adeline bends to put her bag besides the teachers desk and I whistle, catching her attention.

"Why are you always in detention?" She shrieks, pinching the bridge of her nose.

"I punched Jason earlier."

"Why?"

"Don't worry about it." I dismiss her, resting my face in my palms.

Adeline rolls her eyes before taking a marker from the teacher, writing something on the board.

Turning to Madison, I point to Adeline while speaking. "That's her."

"Fatty Addy? Interesting."

Adeline comes over and sits in front of me before tapping the desk, looking me in my eyes.

"What?"

"Just admiring your beauty."

"Weirdo."

She continues to look at me as her lips part, eyes flashing a weird emotion.

Why is she so cute?

"I-" Adeline's words get cut off by a yawn as she shakes her head, redirecting the conversation. "Nevermind. How was your day?"

"Good, and you?"

The both of us talk for the majority of the time before Madison taps my arm and I turn to look at her.

"You're Brianna's ex, aren't you? I finally figured it out."

"Yes, I am."

"She's furious with you two. You should be careful."

"I don't really care." I shrug, giving Adeline my attention again.

It's weird how much I've grown to like Adeline. She's just the type of person who's easy to love.

Love? Let me not.

Adeline has seriously changed my world into something I truly enjoy, only a small part that I regret.

But if I never did it, would we be as close as we are now after coming to common grounds?

Maybe we'd be closer, but all things happen for a reason.

"Easton? You've been daydreaming for the past two minutes. Your detention time is up." Adeline pokes my nose and I focus on her, grinning as I pick up my bag.

"Let's go then."

Author's Note:

This book... what do I say?

This book is pretty confusing to me now.

I have no idea how to properly end it.

If you have any suggestions on what you want to see as an ending, I'd love to hear.

In addition, I think I have a serious problem. Is it bad that I want to write another book after this one is finished? (I need help.)

Uhh, this should be all for now.

Thank you and bye
