Terrible news all around ripping out our hearts with

Heady headlines of impending doom, "Dreadful Days Ahead,"

Everlasting death greets us in every market, every gate.

I had a choice I thought, but no, I was deluded, because I

Listened to preachers of self-determination, deceivers!

Look, the end is near, I have no choices left to choose,

Under the heavy layers of reality I've slide to the bottom,

Save but one, hope, but I fear it's the greatest of all

Illusions. Dig to the bottom-most, and hide in Hades with

Other onerous demons and heroes with gold-coin-eyes,

Never was there another destination, was there really?

Off with our layered facades, masks to hide our treachery;

Faceless automatons doing a master's tasks, hiding in Hell!

Clever, this play you've written for us to live, not knowing

How it ends, yet, you knew. It is always the same, unchangeable,

Orneriness exudes from you, Wizard. I was misled, cuckolded

In your devices. Perhaps, just a little heads up for us? But no

Choices ever given, only false hopes in an avalanche of muck,

Eventide has come, I bow to the crowd, and you clap. The End.
