All That Matters

Sparks. Glitters. Pounding Hearts. Those were the things I see while  Nile was kissing me in a broad daylight. Sumabay ang paggalaw ng kaniyang labi sa simoy ng hangin at naramdaman ko ang pagtaas ng aking balahibo. I gasped when Nile squeezed my waist as if asking for entrance.

Damn! I don't know how to kiss!

Nang maramdaman ni Nile na hindi ako gumagalaw ay lumayo siya nang bahagya at mariing tumitig sa akin. I panted trying to catch my breath that I didn't know I was trying to hold. Ngumisi at hinawakan ang aking pang-ibabang labi. My lips tingled at his touch. Ganoon ba talaga kapag pumapailalim ang halik? I suddenly felt hot and flustered.

" Damn, I've been dying to kiss those lips." he muttered under his breath.

" Why…why did you kiss me?" I sounded dumb but I really had no clue why he had to kiss me. Does it have to do with what he asked a while ago?

Pumikit si Nile at huminga nang malalim. He did not distanced himself from me and put his other hand on my waist. Ngayon dalawa na ang nakahawak sa aking baywang.

" You just look so damn beautiful, that's why." bulong niya at ipinatong ang noo sa akin. I fought the urge not to smile but my mouth had it's own brain. Kumurba ito at unti-unti akong tumawa nang mahina.

" Gago ka ba?" natatawa kong tanong. I touched Nile's abdomen and playfully pushed him away. He chuckled under his breath and took a step backwards. Binasa niya ang kaniyang labi habang ang tingin ay nasa akin pa rin. I saw the desire in his eyes as he raked those eyes on me.

Napayuko ako at kinagat ang aking labi. I suddenly forgot that I was hungry and now I was longing for his hot and soft lips!

Nile raised my chin up and made me stared at him. Pinigilan ko talagang mapatitig sa kaniyang mga mata at labing mapang-akit. Instead, I stared at his cheekbone. At least he'll feel that I was looking at his eyes.

" Adina, you're so damn beautiful and hell will break loose if you deny it. I am attracted to you–damn,  I like you! It's just so hard to control it, you know? You're someone I couldn't grasp and seeing you here in front of me, you just…I don't know…bewitched me? Maybe that was the term for it." he confessed. I literally had my mouth parted as he said those words. Sino bang mag-aakala na aamin siya dito. We admitted that we like each other just months ago but this, he literally just said that he likes me!

Lumundag-lundag ang puso ko. I doubt Nile wouldn't hear it. Sa sobrang kabog tila gusto kong habulin ang aking hininga para makahinga nang maayos. Nile held my face and studied it. In a broad daylight, while I was dying of starvation, he confessed to me after he freaking kissed me!

" Say something…" he pleaded. Tumitig siya sa aking mga mata at huminga nang malalim. I could sense something in his breathing– like he was nervouse and maybe, he'll break down in a minute.

" I'm starving." was the first thing I blurted out. Humalakhak ng tawa si Nile at gigil na hinalikan ang aking pisngi.

" Way to ruin the moment, Sweet pea." he whispered. He unlocked the door behind and slowly let me in. Kagat labi akong tumingin sa kaniya para makita ang kaniyang reaksyon.

He did not say something but he just smiled at me. My heart almost melted at his affection. Hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin kumakalma ang puso ko. I don't know if  Nile was disappointed but he didn't say anything as we reached the nearest place. He stopped by at a fast food restaurant. Siguro iniisip niya na sobrang gutom na talaga ako.
