Silvia knew ever since her only son's mistake last year that he'd changed a bit. He started writing to her and Draco again, his grades were almost tied with Rose Granger- Weasleys, and Silvia could tell he was becoming a more responsible teenager.

She and Draco were sitting in their shared office in the Ministry on a warm May morning, talking before their next meetings.

" What'd you think Scorpius is doing right now at Hogwarts?" Draco asked her randomly changing the topic off of the latest Witch-Weekly magazine.

" Oh well he's probably studying for OWLS in the library and if anything Albus would be smart to follow him and try to get him to stop studying," Silvia answered as she smiled at the picture of her, Draco, and Scorpius from years ago back in the Mansion gardens.

Draco chuckled knowing her guess was probably right before glancing out the window. " We might actually be wrong, there's an owl flying toward us," he replied, quickly opening the window as Silvia stood up and joined his side.

She undid the letter the small, young, brown owl had in its claws and read it carefully as Draco read from over her shoulder.

Hi Mum and Dad,
I know you say not to owl you while at work but I really was wondering if I could meet you for lunch at the Hogs Head? I need to tell you both something pretty important... Don't worry it's all good here and I've already got Mcgonagall's permission. Please, please, please be able to make it, I might not be this confident again.
- Scorpius.

Silvia sighed as she arched her head back to her husbands shoulder. " If it was any other day-"

" It's fine, I'll cancel our afternoon appointments and tell Granger- Weasley not to worry about the kids," Draco patted her shoulders and strutted out of the room in a very professional manor moments later. Silvia laughed as she went to her desk and packed away papers she would've needed for the afternoon in her filing cabinet and double checked her purse to make sure she had some money, wand, and emergency supplies just in case something was wrong.

Ever since Scorpius and Albus had their little 'time travel incident' as Silvia called it, she was always a little bit more prepared than she was before. True, she wouldn't really know if Scorpius and Albus got up to something again, but this was the first owl he sent inviting them to lunch, or begging them to hear something in person from Scorpius. She was excited to see her son so close to the OWLS but her mother instincts couldn't help but worry for him, even though he said specifically not to.

" All set, she even said we could skip the morning and have the Potters cover for us," Draco grinned as he walked back through the office door. Silvia raised an eyebrow.

" She's making us lazy. First she starts eating toffee without a care in the world, and now she's practically showing the wizarding world that the 'Destined One' isn't needed to do work anymore," Silvia flicked the rest of the open files on the desk closed and into the drawer with her wand and picked up her purse from the ground.

" You out of all people aren't lazy Sil... You saved our son," Draco took her hands and smiled into her cinnamon brown eyes. She shook her head.

" You did more of the work-"

" And how many times do I have to tell you not to deny me?" He placed a finger on her lips to cut her off and turned his head sideways like a curious puppy. Silvia smiled but Draco could tell her smile didn't match her eyes. He removed his finger and moved his hand to her back, pulling her close.

" I miss having this much free time," she commented as Draco started rocking them.

" I know you do. Now what's wrong? I see it in your eyes love," he said right when she decided to break the eye contact.
