Knowing that your parents hate you more than the entire world, including the entire Malfoy family and the now-dead Lord Voldemort, makes you wonder why? But when you get answers you don't believe, you stop asking, and try to be perfect. Perfect grades, Perfect spells, clean room. When none of that works, you give up. After the war, Harry became an Auror. He heard some of his coworkers were asking around for people to become the guardian for a kid they previously "saved" on a mission. They refused to give more informations about the mission itself but they kept saying the kid was an orphan. Harry met him. The child was a blond 5 year old boy.
