Chapter 40

-At work the day after Sara gets her new place a woman comes in with a bunch of bruises and cuts which leads Maggie to believe she's been abused

-Will gets assigned to the woman and once he sees that her wounds are mostly superficial he sends Sara in to treat her as he hopes Sara might be able to convince her to tell them the truth about what happened

-Sara begins to treat the woman but soon mentions that her wounds seem suspicious with falling off a step-ladder

-The woman continues to defend her husband and claims he would never do anything to harm her

-Sara decides to tell the woman that she just got out of an abusive relationship a few months ago but for the longest time she didn't tell anyone because she didn't think it would help

-Sara also tells her that once she decided to tell people how she felt she immediately felt better and realized she could leave the relationship and that she deserved that for herself

-Woman finally breaks down in tears and tells Sara her husband has been abusing her for years but she felt like she couldn't leave because she chose that life with him

-After Sara finishes treating the woman she has convinced her to report her husband to the police

-Sara calls Jay and he agrees to send Roman and Burgess down since he's working on a case

-Roman and Burgess arrive and take the woman to the station with them to file a report

-Will can't hide how proud he is of Sara for helping the woman
