I squinted, the sunlight beating down on my pathetic little soul. Mother. Father. May karma be kind.

I entered a building filled with women and teen girls. Too many people. Way to many. Happy smiles. Cheerful conversation. Bitching Customers. Gossiping Teens. Stop. Please stop. Somebody brushed pass me walking into the store.
Human contact. A shiver ran through my spine. I breathed in and sighed heavily. I hate people touching me.

This is way to populated. I just came out of years of isolation and darkness. Life is simply an unfair game.

I walked in and silently slipped through the crowd to what seemed like an office in the back.
Of all places, must it be a clothing store that sells all these accessories and shoes.
I knocked on the door waiting for a come in before entering.
"Welcome", a women greeted without looking up.
        "Here for the job."
"Oh! So your Lilian's daughter, Nik-", the woman paused seeing me "What the hell are you wearing!" I glanced down at my crumpled, buttoned shirt. Glancing back up I saw that her face was scrunched up as if a rat was shoved into her face. I zipped up my jacket.
        "Better?" I questioned.
"Nika, I run a highly successful clothing store! I am not going to simply have an employee who dresses like a street r-"
First day first problem.
"What am I here to do anyways?" I interrupted.
"My girl, aren't you rude. You'll be stocking the shelves."
"So...shall I go stock some shelves?"
"Fine just go", she sighed "Jay! Come collect the new employee!"
Collect? A girl walked in her hair knotted in a neat bun.
        "Follow me."
I walked after her. We entered a back room, I turned my head and was met with a pile of clothes.
        "Change, your clothes are hideous."
For the second time that day I was irritated towards a human being. Irritation haven't felt that since watching that one anime. Tch. I turned my back.
"Fine. Step out of the room."
---
I stood there a the bottom of the ladder while she struggled to get a pile of shoeboxes off a high shelf. Leaning against a clothing rack next to the customer who had asked for the many boxes of shoes, I stared up at her trying to pull out boxes and maintain her balance.
"Can you please help!?" she shouted down at me.
        "No."
        "You want to be fired!"
"I never agreed to work when I was hired."
I wasn't who signed myself up, I was just forced into it without having any benefits to reap in. Well, all I said I was going to do was stock shelves. Never mind.
I heard her grunt frustratedly. I just closed my eyes suddenly feeling incredibly tired. I heard a slight scraping noise. One eye peeked open. Her shoe scraped the step as she struggled to climb down, her one hand sliding against the ladder. Jay's one hand slipped, oh down she went tipping the ladder with her. I quickly stepped forward steadying the tipping ladder, ignoring the falling girl and caught all boxes handing them to the customer in one swoop. I then once again leaned against the clothing rack attempting to sleep.
Jay got up and looked at me.
"Nice reactions you got there, but why didn't you catch me?!" she angrily asked.
I stared into her eyes blankly.
        "Didn't want to."
"Ugh!" I am so sleepy. My eyelids grew heavy.
"GET BACK TO WORK!"

The store finally closed meaning I could go home. My head buzzed. I was standing at a corner on an extremely crowded crosswalk in the middle of the city. An incredible amount of people surrounded me. Hah. My chest tightened. Why is there so much noise? My head. Too many people. Ah. I clutched my head and brought it down. So dizzy. My legs wobbled. I can't breathe. Hah. Hah. My legs collapsed.
I fell forward onto the street and oncoming traffic. As I fell, I extended my arms out fully prepared to repel myself up out of harms way and back to safety, but my vision started going dark I felt nauseated. My arms failed to support my weight and I crashed onto the hard cement. I lay on the street unable to breathe, unable to think, unable comprehend. Everything
in my limited point of view went dark and disappeared.

Tch, and all I wanted to do was stay at home.
