47. I've always trusted him to make the right decisions

Jaemin POV

"Jaemin?" I turned around to look at my sister. "I'm gonna go home Nahyun needs to sleep. I'll be back as soon as Sooyoung comes over okay?" "Yeah sure, I'll see you then."  I kissed my niece on the head, Yerim took her bag and got up.
"Oh uhm... I just wanted to ask you... are you gonna go back to school? No pressure I just don't want you to miss too much, you're in your last year after all." "Maybe once Taeyong wakes up. I just... I know I won't be able to concentrate on anything if I don't know he's okay." "Okay." She whispered and hugged me before leaving Taeyongs hospital room.
I leaned back against Jeno who put his arms around me and looked at Jaehyun. "You guys dated right?"
He nodded his head and carefully took Taeyongs hand into his. "I'm sorry we didn't tell you." "Don't be. I get it." I looked at my brother. "I've always trusted him to make the right decisions and if he felt this was the right call it was probably for the best."
"I'm sorry I can't..." Ten got up, sobbing and ran out of the room. We all just stared at the door for a few seconds before Johnny said "I'm gonna go check on him." and went after him.
"I can't believe this is happening again." Doyoung covered his face with his hands and let out a deep sigh. "What do you mean again?"
Jaehyun looked at us. "Didn't he tell you?" "Apparently he didn't." I took Jenos hand and intertwined our fingers.
"It was... a few years ago... Taeyong was in his last year at a Chinese boarding school and came back home. He was gonna arrive just on time for christmas..." my voice broke and Jeno put his arm around my shoulders to comfort me. "His flight was delayed." Said Doyoung, taking over. "Yerim and Jaemin stayed home and their parents went to the airport to pick up Taeyong. When they were driving home they were going a little faster since it was late and the other two kids were alone because the nanny wasn't there..." He took a deep breath. "But they were going too fast. And on top of that they were fighting with Taeyong, I'm not sure why but they always found a reason to fight. And then it happened. They had an accident. And they didn't survive. Taeyong was the only one who made it after intense surgery and an organ transplant. He... couldn't breath for too long so his Kidneys shut down." Jaehyun looked at Doyoung with a shocked expression on his face.
"He never told you?" He shook his head. "No. He never really talked about what happened and I didn't want to pressure him cause I know how hard it was on him." "He still blames himself for their death." Jeno squeezed my hand and I buried my head in his shoulder. "That's just stupid." I couldn't help but chuckle. "You know Taeyong. He's very smart but sometimes he does the most unreasonable things." Jaehyun looked at my brother and I could see tears in his eyes.
"I... I just need him to wake up. I can't stand seeing him like this." The door opened and Ten and Johnny came back, holding hands.
"I'm sorry for... that. This is just a little much." "You don't have to apologize. We all get it, trust me." He smiled at Doyoung and sat down on one of the chairs. "So... Johnny and I talked and... I'm gonna stay with him until Taeyong is better. I want to be here when he wakes up and during the rehab." "What about your job?" "I don't really care Taeyong is more important than that. And my boss is pretty cool he'll understand." Doyoung nodded his head. "Okay that's good." Jaehyun looked at my brother.

"You hear that Taeyong? We're all here and we're not going anywhere."

sorry for being so mia lately i had my graduation and went on a graduation trip like immediately afterwards and just came back like two days ago but now i'm here and I don't have any excuses left so i'm gonna try to upload more (if anybody cares if no one wants to read this shit i can just disappear again as well lol)
