Fairy Tail One Shots (x Reader)

Happy x Exceed!Reader- I want You To Go.

"Natsu! Lucy! Erza! Gray!" I walked through the woods calling out for my friends. We had gotten separated when the monster we fought knocked me away. "Great, I'm lost and I don't have any magical energy left. That's the last time I carry Lucy's big butt around."

All the trees around me looked the same and nothing stood out. This wasn't looking good. I heard a twig snap to my right so I grabbed the nearest stick and readied myself.

"Show yourself! You should know I'm a Fairy Tail wizard!" I held the stick up high and stood defensively.

"A pipsqueak like you is in a guild?" A voice asked from behind a tree. When they walked out a (color) furred exceed walked out with a basket in their paws. "It doesn't look like you could do much damage to anyone."

"H-hey! I'm a valuable member of Fairy Tail!" I stomped my foot and put the stick down. She laughed and shook her head as she walked by. I looked in the small basket she was holding and saw a mountain of fish that made my mouth water. She looked up and noticed my dazed look.

"Are you hungry?" I slowly nodded and she sighed as she grabbed my paw. We arrived at a small village after only a minute of walking. There were only about 10 houses that were made in the trees. We walked down to the third and she opened the door allowing me to walk in. She walked to the small kitchen and placed some fish on a stove while I sat down and waited.

"So is this an exceed town? I thought all the exceeds moved to that town near the border." She sighed and shook her head as she stood over the stove.

"For a fellow exceed you sure don't know much. We're the ones that were sent down to Earthland in search of the dragon slayors." She paused to flip the fish and than started again. "A few o us ran into each other a couple years back and decided to stay in a group, so that's how we ended here. Away from people and away from predators, we're completely safe."

"Are you afraid of people?"

"I... I'm more afraid of not knowing. Of getting hurt. This is the only home I've ever known." She shook her head and continued cooking.

I nodded in understanding and she dropped off the fish in front of me as she sat down across with her own plate. My mouth watered as the smell hit my nose and I took a bite. The warm meat tickled my tastebuds and I couldn't help but eat it quickly. She giggled as she watched me slump in my seat and run my swollen gut.

"That was delicious... Umm..." I stuttered as I realized I hadn't gotten her name. She rolled her eyes and wiped her mouth before she spoke.

"(Y/n)." She said plainly with a small smile on her lips.

"Hi (y/n), I'm Happy!"

"Happy? That's a peculiar name." She laughed and I smiled as she squinted her (e/c) eyes. She stood up as she laughed and took our dishes to clean them. Afterwards, (y/n) brushed off her light blue dress and turned towards me. "Well Happy of Fairy Tail, lets go for a walk." I nodded and happily followed as she led me outside.

"Wow, so that's what Edolas is like." She smiled contently as I told her about our shares homeland.

"Yeah, so now all the exceeds are here and Edolas Jellal is ruling there."

"Well that's good, he seems like he'd be a good king." I nodded as we walked through the small town.

Everyone living here were exceeds sent down for the same mission as Carla and I. They were all sweet and friendly as we strolled through the streets. There were only about 15 or 20 exceeds in the village which unfortunately meant that there were still a lot more out there.

"So Happy," I looked over at her and her eyes looked slightly sad. "You said you were looking or your friends earlier. Well, if they don't show up, you could stay here... with me." My eyes widened in shock as she said that.

"If they couldn't find me I'd go find them. Why?" She blushed and shook her head as we reached the small river by where we met.

"Happy!" We both looked behind us and I saw as pink hair run towards us. "Happy! We found you!"

"Natsu!" My eyes teared up and I couldn't help but smile when I saw him. (y/n) tried to walk away from us but I grabbed her paw and pulled her towards me. She looked at me with confused eyes as I smiled. "Come with us."

"Happy," her eyes were wide and she started to tear up big shook her head. "I-I can't..."

"Happy!" I was cut off as Natsu finally reached us and pulled me in for a hug. "Where have you been little buddy?"

"With (y/n)." I said as I pointed behind me.

"Huh?" He looked to where I was pointing and scratched his head. "Who are you pointing at?" I turned around and noticed she was no longer there.

"B-but... (Y/n)." I hopped off of Natsu's lap and looked around for her, but couldn't find her anywhere. "Why?"

"I... I'm more afraid of not knowing. Of getting hurt. This is the only home I've ever known." I sighed as I remembered what she had said just earlier today.

"Maybe it's better this way." I whispered and trudged over to Natsu.

"Hey Happy, are you alright?" He rubbed my head and I hopped on his shoulder.

"Aye! Let's go home, I want fish!" He laughed and stood up as we headed back home. "I'll see you soon, (y/n)." I looked behind me and she stood there with tears in her eyes. I waved and she returned it before she headed back to her home. I smiled happily and rested my head on Natsu's shoulder. I'll definitely see you soon.
