Reid: "I'm sorry." he says when he runs into someone while walking up the stairs to the subway
Man: "You're Dr. Reid." he says stopping Reid from walking any further
Reid: "I'm sorry. Do I know you?"
Man: "I just know what you do."
Reid: "Ok."
Man: "I saw you in Georgetown a few weeks ago. You gave a lecture on sexual sadism and how you helped catch the Mill Creek killer in St. Louis."
Reid: "I-I'm not much of a,uh-a public speaker."
Man: "I don't know. I thought you seemed cool."
Reid: "You look kind of young to go to Georgetown."
Man: "Um, I'm a junior at Northwest High School."
Reid: "And you just go to lectures on anger excitation for fun?"
Man: "I don't have a lot of friends."
Reid: "So you're interested in profiling?"
Man: "Yeah. I mean, I read a lot, you know, true crime, like graphic novels, mostly. They're all about whether there's really such a thing as evil, like nature versus nurture, all that, so I figured it'd be smart to hear it from an expert, you know? So you said a lot of 'em kill prostitutes?"
Reid: "It's the number one serial killer target, actually."
Man: "Well, is that for sex or because they think they're dirty and they need to be punished?" he asks making Reid start to tense up
Reid: "Were you waiting here for me?"
Man: "What would it mean if somebody were stabbing them and cutting off their hair?"
Reid: "I've never, uh- I've never heard of a case like that. Do you wanna go to the BAu with me, maybe talk to some of my other team members?"
Man: "I actually have to go to school."
Reid: "Give me your-your name and your number ,and I'll call you and-" he says as the man quickly walks away as Reid tries to follow him but he gets stopped by the crowds. Quickly hurrying to the subway he meets up with Watson who was waiting there for him
Watson: "You're late. You're buying the coffee for a week." she says as they head into the subway
Reid: "Yeah-yeah, coffee for a month." he says not really paying attention to her
Watson: "What's wrong with you?" she asks as he pulls out a notebook to start drawing in it

JJ: "Hey, Spence." she says when they get out the elevator
Reid: "JJ, who's your contact at the D.C. Police?"
JJ: "Uh, Victor Barnes. Why? You need me to call him?"
Reid: "Hi. Detective Barnes, please."
Gideon: "What's wrong?"
Watson: "No idea. He's been fidgety since we met up this morning." she says shrugging her shoulders
Reid: "Need to get that to everyone as soon as possible" he says passing Gideon the notebook with a sketch of a man before going back to talking into the phone "Uh, hi. Detective Barnes, this is Special agent Dr. Spencer Reid at the behavioral analysis unit at Quantico. Have you had any recent murders involving prostitutes, maybe just jane does?" he asks making the three exchange confused looks between each other "They would have been stabbed to death, and their hair would've been cut off by the killer. When was the most recent victim? I'll explain when I see you. I'll meet you in a half-hour." he says hanging up the phone
Gideon: "What's going on?"
Reid: "D.C. May have a serial killer. I think I just let him get away."

Reid: "T.S. Eliot wrote, "between the idea and the reality," between the motion and the act, falls the shadow."

Woman: "At night, no one can see down there. During the day, you just duck behind the dumpster or into a doorway."
Emily: "Business is pretty heavy here in the mornings?"
Woman 2: "How do I know you're not just lookin' to crack down on us?"
Emily: "Because I'm telling you. We're here trying to protect you."
Woman 2: "A lot of johns from the hill stop by on their way to work."
Woman: "We always say the same politicians yellin' about cleanin' up the hill, the ones droppin' 50 bucks with us before they make the speech."
Woman 2: "It's true, and the more important they think they are, the quicker they accidentally finish up with us. It's weird like that."
Emily: "No, that's pretty much universal." she says making Morgan chuckle a little to himself
Watson: "You recognize him at all?" she asks holding up the picture Reid drew
Woman 2: "I don't know his name or nothin'."
Woman: "He hangs around, tries to pretend like he's not watching us. He's just a horny kid, you know."
Watson: "You didn't see him talking to any of the other girls out here?"
Woman: "I just figured he's the kind gets his little bit of danger and goes home and takes business into his own hands."
Woman 2: "Is he the one who did this?"
Emily: "We don't know, but someone did, so you need to be careful."
Woman: "We stick to the daylight and only work the high-end blocks."
Emily: "How old are you?" she asks looking over at one of the girls
Woman 2: "21" she says as Emily gives her a disbelieving look "19." she says sighing out
Watson: "Just watch out for each other, ok?" she says as they walk away from the women
