There is this fine line between life and death,

That no one seems to understand,

Until they take their last and final breath,

As a living man.

Some of us think about it every day,

About purgatory, and the time in between,

But things aren't apparent, as they seem.

Time seems to stand still,

No matter where you go.

Don't think about it,

Because in due time it will show,

How life is so precious,

And that we all have little time.

The world doesn't wait for you,

For you, yourself must draw the courage to take the climb.

Live life in the moment,

And cherish each second like it might be your last.

Don't let your thoughts wander,

And reminisce to the past.

Take in your arms,

The strength to compete.

Let your mind be strong,

And you can do any feat.

Don't let temptation rob away your years,

And confront your demons,

Because you should have no fears.

Though your hands might be bloodied,

Bruised, battered, and beyond repair,

Don't let that stop you,

For your goal is so near.

Shout and scream from the rooftops,

Your determination, your will.

Nothing can stop you,

As you ascend that rugged hill.

Look to your left and look to your right,

Can't you perceive the end?

Take in the sight,

Of the rewards you reaped, my friend.
