I get up and hug him and he goes stiff. Then he hugs back after a few seconds
"Y/n!" I hear Steve
"Steve!" I smile seeing him all cleaned up and looking much better now
"Any injuries?" He asks
"Broken wrist and fractured foot. And you?" I shrug
"I just miss my husband" he chuckles a little
"Righhttt super-soldier. I'm glad you're okay" I smile
"Hey I have something I think you'll want to see" he smiles
"A surprise?" I ask As we walk down the hallway
"Well the world has gotten word of what happened. And New York has found where we are. They're loving Tony" he says bringing me to an open window overlooking the city
I gasp seeing hundreds of people holding signs, wearing iron man things, celebrating, dancing.
All of them happy to have their family back thanking my father for it all.
"This is incredible" I gasp looking at it all
"That's what I said. Tony would love it" Steve smiles
"I'm sure he'll hear about it tomorrow" I nod
"Everyone from Wakanda went home. The Asgardians went home. the guardians, Clint, Pietro and Wanda, Thor, Bruce, and anyone else close to us were welcomed to go back to the Avengers tower so that's where they are." Steve tells me
"Whos still here?" I ask
"You and I, Peter and Harley, Nat, Rhodey. Happy called he's on his way. And Nebula asked to personally stay. I think she wants to talk to you" Steve says
"I'll go find her" I smile
I take my crutches and go to the waiting room.
Nebula sits on her own watching a mother and her child also waiting
"Hey Nebs" I smile sitting down
She gives me a confused glare
"Sorry, thought I'd try a nickname" I say awkwardly
"It's... okay" she answers softening up
"Okay, I'm glad you stayed" I smile
"I- is he okay?" She asks
"Yeppers. We get to see him tomorrow" I nod happily
"You're injuries look bad" she comments
"I'll be okay. This is nothing in comparison to what my dad went through" I sigh
"Everything will be okay" she says giving me an awkward sitting down hug but I know she means well
"Here Nebula I got you a coffee!" Rhodey smiles sitting on the other side of Nebula
