"Are you sure about this?" I ask dad
"Y/n you have it almost perfect. We just gotta try the flight boosters" he smiles
I get into the suit which is big but adjustable.
"Ready" dad nods
"Ready" I say back
I feel the thrusters start and I slowly lift off the ground.
"Dad I'm doing it!" I laugh
"Kid be careful" he says
"I got it" I say
I try to test the hand boosters but I guess I pressed it too much because next thing I know I'm going through the roof.
"Woah dad!" I yell going higher
"Kid just turn off the boosters" he says
I turn them off but I guess I turned everything off cause now I'm falling!
"Woahhhh" i yell trying to turn the thrusters back on. I end up blasting into a car.... whoops
Half an hour later the police and Rhodey are here. It's 3 in the morning. I had the best time ever though.
I sit at the stable eating cookies watching dad and Rhodey talking. I hold an ice pack to my cheek where I have a bruise forming
*Tonys pov *****
"Tony the kid looks like she hasn't slept in years. What's been going on?" Rhodey says crossing his arms
"We're both messed up since New York Rhodes. I-I'm just trying to be a good dad" I sigh looking at y/n who yes looks tired as hell but so do I.
"Tony she's not gonna be able to stay with you.. I know you're trying to be a good dad but is this any way to raise a child?" Rhodey says which actually hurts me
Am I raising her right?
"Rhodey-"
"Tones. Get your act together please. I'm always here if you need me" Rhodey pats my shoulder and clears the police out
I hear them chattering as they leave.
"Tony." I hear a low voice say
"What do you want now!" I almost yell but when I turn around I couldn't be happier
"Steve" I whisper and he brings me into a hug
"Honey what happened i left you for a week?" He says looking at me sadly
"I don't know" I mutter and look down
"It's okay. I'm back" he says lifting up my chin and I kiss him
*y/n pov*******
"Dad are they gone?" I ask walking towards the front door
I walk to find dad and steve!
"Steve" I gasp and they both look at me
"Y/n!" He softly smiles and I run to the both of them and they lift me up into a family hug. Family.
"You look horrible what's been going on" steve asks lightly touching my bruise
"Dad and I are making me a suit. It's been so fun. But I missed you" I sigh
"A suit? For what?" Steve asks dad
"The kid didn't feel safe I just wanted her to have a suit to help" dad shrugs
"Y/n I'm sure your suit is lovely but why don't we do other stuff for a while" steve smiles
"What?" Tony says
