My GPS beeps with another emergency.
It's an alert from Pietro on Vormir
My path diverges from dads as I fly to Vormir.
I land next to Pietro. it's like a war is going on.
"What the hell is happening?!?" I ask Pietro as we stand by the edge of a cliff
I get confused as I watch Nat and Clint fight each other
"Well see the red-
Pietro stops talking momentarily to catch Clint before he jumps off the cliff.
Pietro throws Clint back into Nat who is also trying to throw herself off the cliff.
"The- red guy says one of us has to sacrifice ourselves to obtain the soul stone.. I won't let them do it.. you have to find another way" Pietro says ready to stop another one of them
"Y/n! Get out of here!" Nat yells at me as she tries to stun Clint. She must know why I'm here
Nat runs and jumps but she gets caught by Pietro.
"Pietro how long have you been doing this?!" I yell as I watch Clint and Nat go at it again
"Since we got here" Pietro yells back throwing Clint back on the ground
I look over the cliff to see the far drop down..
"Y/n M/n Stark! Go home now!" Nat yells at me again as she blasts Clint
I ignore her as I try to come up with a plan
"She's right! Go home!" Clint grunts grabbing Nat by the legs
I shake my head wondering if I jumped is there a way I could survive...
"I have a plan!" I shout to Pietro as I peer over the side of the cliff.
"What is it??" He shouts back as he catches both heroes trying to jump for the millionth time
I knew if I said my plan out loud the redskull wouldn't allow it
"Pietro!!!! Stop it!" Nat whines like a child as she tries to stun Clint again
"I- I have a way but you need to trust me" I say not knowing if my plan will work
"Trust you??" Pietro asks confused as he pushes Clint again
"Yes. Will you trust me?" I ask knowing he'll try to stop me
"Y/n- ... yes.." Pietro says uneasily
"You have to promise you will hold Nat and Clint back... no matter what... I promise it'll be okay" I nod as Nat and Clint fight each other more
"I-I promise... " He grunts pushing Nat back
"I can do this..." I say looking over the edge
"Y/n! What are you doing!??" Nat yells running at me
Pietro flashes in front of her stopping her
"Y/n please no!" Nat grunts trying to move Pietro
I close my eyes holding onto my GPS. My heart is racing... I hope the odds are in my favor.
I go to my happy place in my head, baseball game with Peter and Harley.
I take the step off the cliff hearing screams behind me....
I know they won't catch me since Pietro is holding them back but I know how painful this is for him.
With my eyes closed I press my GPS.
Then nothing.
It felt like nothing.
