He looked down at you, his eyes burning into your body as you looked around in panic for your bag which you knew wouldn't be anywhere.
"What's up?" He questioned, continuing to watch as your face dropped.
"...My bag." You stated simply. No laptop. No work. However, that's not what was bringing you the most sadness out of all of this. "It had all my energy drinks in..."
"Energy drinks?" He asked, placing a hand on your shoulder and guided you into the tall building which was too shrouded by the night time shadows to see properly in its entire magnificence.
"Well, it had my laptop too but those energy drinks... They were special." You said in a saddened tone, entering the glowing yellow of the building. It seemed to be a hotel of sorts.
Upon the sight of the gorgeous entrance and reception area where a worker stood with a bored expression, you almost completely dropped the topic until you were led towards an elevator where JK and V waited, now completely visible under the bright lights of the building.
"What made them so special?" The boy continued to question out of genuine curiosity.
"I won them in a competition last year... A years worth of limited edition energy drinks..."
"That doesn't sound healthy."
"Anything can be healthy if you love it enough." You retorted, not even knowing who had made that remark.
You stood in the elevator, a pout on your lips as slowly, the doors closed and the four of you were on your way up to an unknown floor.
You all stood in silence, each of you thinking of something entirely different until you reached your destination. Surprisingly, even in such a fancy looking place like this, the elevator music was awful. It's just so repetitive and annoying. But, eventually, like a bell from heaven, the elevator dinged and allowed you to escape the death trap quickly.
Soon enough, you fell back into step with the three men, walking past numerous doors to different rooms until you reached one at the very end of the hallway. It was a long hallway, thin and lonely. Dust gathered in places, and you assumed that cleaners weren't a regular sight there. And that thought became far more prominent as you approached an odd room.
The door to this room was much different from the others, while all the doors you had passed on the way there were wooden doors labelled with letters and numbers, this one was heavy dark wood, plain and simple yet, if you looked close enough, it was so different from the other doors it stood out. A keypad, no typical hotel lock mechanism, no numbers and there were stains... odd stains. Blood. You hoped it came from one of the people who lived there and not because of anything downright terrifying.
Passing you quickly, JK stopped at the door, pausing at a keypad before typing in a sequence of numbers and watching as the door clicked and a green light appeared. He pushed the door open, holding it and allowing you and the redhead to pass by before following behind the group.
"So... Where are we-"
"You're back! Did anyone get hurt?" An entirely new voice spoke up from a room further in and you were forced to stop as the door opened and you found a much taller guy in front of you. His silvery purple hair combed back with his fingers as he glanced between all of you with a curious gaze and a friendly smile. Dimples. That's all you could think about. Those dimples on his cheeks seemed so warm and welcoming, yet his aura said otherwise.
He felt intimidating, like standing in his presence was some sort of accomplishment rarely anyone achieved. Yet you managed to do it.
"Only her," JK noted, gesturing towards you with a flick of his hand as the new guy looked down at you, his smile fading and instead, it was replaced by pure curiosity. "Thrown down and stood on."
