Your back ached from the impact and your head was so muddled you could barely believe you were in the situation. Really, who would think they would find themselves with a man stood on top of them with a gun aimed towards their head? Nobody. Not until it happens and you begin to wonder just what your life is worth. Unfortunately, yours wasn't worth much having been cooped up inside for most of it. That meant you couldn't make a bargain with death. Damn.
And you never got to find out that guys name, either...
"C'mon Hyun," you sighed, watching the man glare into you. The same man who had been following you for two months. "I'm not with that life and I never have been. What's the point?"
It was him. Unfortunately. And as he stood on you, his foot pressing harder and harder into your ribs, you realised that you dodged a bullet those years ago. Sure, he was easy on the eyes with the grin that made you want him to like you, but, you weren't going to deal with his life and he sure as hell wasn't going to deal with yours if you could do anything about it.
"You could be," he smirked, leaning down to meet your ear. His gun was still held to your forehead. He wouldn't shoot. You knew him well enough to know that he wasn't ready to deal with that mess. "Come back. With you, things will be perfect."
"Oh yeah, 'cause I really want to help unite two gangs." You scoffed. "Get off of me, asshole. I'm not involved and I never have been."
He rolled his eyes. He didn't know who you were, he only knew you as (Y/n), the timid girl with the terrible family he cared about too much. Being a gang leaders son had its perks, one being that he often got what he wanted. And unfortunately, he wanted you. Though, even that was a little more complicated. It wasn't just about emotions, it was deals and compromises you didn't want any part in.
"Piece of shit!" A deeper male voice yelled out moments before a gunshot sounded.
You watched in horror as Hyun stumbled forwards, his foot weighing down on your chest before he stepped back and lowered down to the ground as he held his shoulder with a firm grasp.
But, before you could even think about looking towards the scene, he was being tackled by another figure.
Everything was a complete blur and before you knew it, you were being pulled from the ground and carried over a broad shoulder.
"Oh c'mon! I just got out of the first situation!" You yelled out in frustration, not even bothering to fight back as you watched two figures tackle the man, knocking him to the ground and eventually left him laying there before darting towards you. But, before they could reach you, you were thrown into the warmth of a vehicle with an aching chest and back.
You hit the seat, bouncing slightly and threatening to slip off but quickly, ignoring any and all pain, you sat up and swivelled around. Whoever held onto you jumped in after, forcing you to move across as the two reached the door and got inside moments after. You couldn't even begin to comprehend what was happening, the car began to move and you were left in aching confusion.
Silence filled the car as you simply stared up towards the ceiling, not wanting to make eye contact with anybody. If you were going to die, you'd rather not see your killers face. That way you could avoid coming back as a ghost for revenge.
"...Hey, are you okay...?"
"My body hurts..." You breathed out, recognising the voice almost immediately. JK. "But, at least it's warm in here."
"Kookie, are you okay...?" A new, but somewhat familiar voice spoke. It was deeper but similar to the one that had yelled before the gunshot.
You turned your head, finally deciding to look around before finding yourself surrounded by three males. JK, the deep-voiced male with a rather handsome face, and a complete stranger with vibrant red hair and a thoughtful expression.
