And so, you were left to sit at a park bench, listening to the passing conversations for a while.

"Have you heard? Those Bangtan guys have done it again! They took out some drug lord who was causing problems all over the city!"

"Yeah... But didn't they kill her?"

"So? She's gone and not a problem anymore!"

You listened as the two girls gossiped in front of you. It seemed rumours were spreading faster in recent days. Almost every week there was a new story about these Bangtan Boys, whether it be that they stole a tiger from a zoo or they killed a drug lord. They were all you ever hear about. Though, you tended not to follow rumours. As a hacker, you spread too many false ones to trust anything you heard.

You were about to listen to another passing conversation when you felt your phone vibrate.

Odd.

You rarely ever got calls from your contact through the day. Those were only ever late-night conversations. But, in your lonely life, you weren't going to say no to more work, so, you picked up.

"Hello?"

"Oh," a voice gasped on the other side, metallic, like layers upon layers of voices. It was the same voice, but, it felt different. Less professional. "Miseria?"

"Uh..." You glanced at the phone, checking to see that it was the same number as usual. It was. "Who is this? RM?"

"Aha, it is you!"

"...I'm sorry, what?"

"Hi," the voice said, beginning what seemed to be a normal conversation. "I work with RM. I'm JK, sorry to call out of nowhere, but I managed to get the phone without him noticing and I wanted to ask questions while I could. You are Miseriae, right?"

"Uh..." you hesitated. "You definitely work with RM, right?"

"Yup."

"Can you prove it?"

"Uh," they hesitated this time. "I know that one time, we asked you to make a fake dog adoption website. Do you do graphic design too? That was a nice looking website."

"Alright, alright, I'll trust you," you sank. It wasn't like you were going to be tracked, you knew how to protect yourself and your location and if you felt at risk, you could hang up. "You had questions?"

You glanced around, noticing that the park was still filled with life. Too much for you to be able to get the money and leave. There were parents walking around with prams, kids running around as they skipped school recklessly, people passed through the park to get someplace else. You had time. And you didn't mind spending all the time in the world listening to the bird song around you.

"Right," the person said, "I've been practising hacking and stuff, but I keep messing up. What script do you use?"

"It depends. Java, mostly. C language at times for the older devices, a few others. When you're starting out, you just need to focus on memorising and being careful. Don't rush things."

"You know more than one language?"

"Yeah."

"Woah." He paused before continuing. "Oh, I've also been wondering, but I remember one time, you made all the billboards demand money from one guy. Did you ever get that money?"

You faltered. You really didn't expect to be having this conversation, not on this phone. The conversations you had with RM were to the point, never about anything but work. Whoever this JK guy was, they were unknown to you and you felt the twist in your stomach as you realised that was a frightening fact.
