Merlin stood next to Gaius as the two watched Arthur and Lancelot chat cheerfully. " Look at him, Gaius. Does not Lancelot deserve this moment?" Merlin pointed out still trying to justify his actions
Gaius sigh d shaking his head at the young man. "I never said he didn't. But destiny and desserts are not the same thing. You played God, Merlin. You set him on a path of your choosing. Tonight you brought him triumph, but who knows what the future may hold." He hoped the young warlock would take his place a ring to heart.
Merlin rolled his hair yes not wanting to think about consequences for the moment. "Yeah, I don't know what it said on your invitation, but on mine it said celebration." Gaius can't find it himself to be all that mad chuckling.
"Point taken. Don't come back too late." Gaius patted his shoulder and began to o leave but not before Merlin answered with a quick, "Alright."

She didn't want to admit it, but she really liked Lancelot, not in the romantic or least she thinks not that way. He was like another brother, but that's how she felt with the group of knights she was close too.
Artura did have to admit that he was really really good looking and had such a pure honest personality. He sees so we'll kept and had such beautiful manners. And don't even get her started on the heart quenching smile of his. No she like him, but as a friend.
The two sat on top of a table chatting away. Until someone caught her eye, Morgana and Gwen were whispering away giggling at the knight around them. A small wave of jealousy rolled through her, but did her best to suppress it. Lancelot followed her gaze looking at the two lovely young women.
"Here's trouble. Tell me, do you think her...beautiful?" Artura said gesturing slightly to the two girls.
Lancelot's glazed over as he gave a dreamy nod. "Yes, Sire. I do." He said following the maid as she went to speak with Merlin.
Artura didn't notice her eyes still on Morgana her fist clenched together. "Yeah. I suppose she is."
--
Morgana can't stop herself from smirking as she spots Arthur staring at her. Her eyes then trail to Lancelot as her her smirk turned into a full out grin.
"You know what? I think our Sir Lancelot might have eyes for you, Gwen." Merlin pointed out also noticing his gaze on her.
Morgana nodded in agreement nudging her shoulder. "Don't be silly." Gwen dismissed them as her cheeks redden.
Merlin chuckled, "What? So what if he did? Would that really be so bad?" Merlin pointed out glancing at his dear friends who was quiet obviously head-over-heels for her.
A small sigh escapes her lips as she looks over at him. "He's not really my type." She bit her lip nervously. Morgana scoffed at her answer she had seen the way Gwen looked at him she felt the same way.
Merlin being an idiotic boy however didn't realize the clear lie his eyes widening. "Oh, well, there's a surprise. Sometimes, Guinevere, I wonder if you'd know what your type was if he was standing right next to you." He teased maybe he did catch onto the lie.
Gwen giggled nodding her head sadly. "You're probably right."
The two watch Lancelot talk with a group of knights cheerfully occasionally glancing there way. Merlin grabbed another drink as a servant passed quickly thanking them. "So, come on. Just for the sake of argument. If you had to, Arthur or Lancelot." He pointed between the two guys curious about he answer. To him the answer seemed clear Arthur was a jerk and a prat. Lancelot was honest and good.
