Emily's Pov

"Can I get another one?" I asked the bartender as I placed the shot glass on the counter.

"Are you sure?" He asked, and I couldn't help but giggle while nodding my head.

I think I'm incredibly drunk. I've been giggling way too much tonight, and everything I've been saying comes out as a slur.

I haven't even seen one of my friends tonight, well except for James, who was leaving the club with Madison.

When I saw those two leaving together, I ordered my first shot, and then came my second shot, and eventually, I've stopped counting after the fourth shot.

I notice another shot in front of me, and a smile grew on my face as I took it all in.

I honestly felt like throwing up right here, but the feeling of all this happiness inside me only encourages me to go on.

I've never really felt like this, and the feeling is fantastic. I swear it feels like I could do anything right now.

If jumping off of a bridge wasn't dangerous at all, I might even do that, but I don't think I'm drunk enough to do that even though I have been thinking about that the past two hours.

A sigh escaped my lips as I motioned for the bartender to bring me another shot.

I lazily swung around in the spinning chair and just looked at everyone in the club.

Grinding.

Making out.

Dancing.

Drinking.

That's all that was going on here. I've wanted to dance so much tonight, but every time someone would come up and ask me to dance. I would say no and get another shot.

"Here you go," I heard the bartender's voice behind me, making me turn around in the chair and see the shot on the counter.

I instantly took it and brought the small glass up to my lips and letting the burning liquid flow down my throat.

Luke's Pov

My eyes widened when I accidentally bumped into someone making her fall back, but I immediately held my arms out and grabbed her wrists before pulling her onto her feet.

"Oh my gosh, thank you," the girl slurs.

My mouth almost dropped when I noticed that this drunken girl was Emily.

"Oh, my god Emily how much did you have to drink?" I asked worriedly as I placed my hands on her hips to steady her.

She looked up at me, and a giggle escaped her mouth as she started poking my cheek.

"You're funny," she slurred and giggled even more.

I furrowed my eyebrows at her drunken state and just sighed.

I lifted Emily off of the ground and threw her over my shoulder before starting to walk over to the exit.

"Luke," she whined as she lightly kicked her legs. "I don't want to leave," she slurred.

"Yore drunk, Emily. I'm taking you back to the dormitory," stated as I walked out of the club.

Once outside, I stopped and started scanning to see where my car was at. Once I finally saw it, I was about to take a step but just stopped as my breath hitched in my throat.

"W-What are you doing?" I asked as Emily's hand started moving under my shirt, grazing her fingernails up and down my back.

"I don't know," she slurred with a giggle on end.

"Well, stop," I muttered as I started walking towards my car.

Once there, I pulled open the back door and carefully placed Emily inside before walking over to the driver seat and getting in.

"God, I hate James" I heard Emily's muffled voice from the back.

I furrowed my eyebrows as I looked at her through the rearview mirror.

"What happened between the two of you?" I asked, hoping that she would tell me what happened during her drunken state.

When we drove to the club, I also asked her, but she got pissed then.

"He got mad at me," she said softly while shuffling a little on the seat.

"Why?" I asked, confused, and I could barely hear her letting out a sigh.

"Because I didn't fulfill his needs," she said, she said, and I could even detect a hint of disgust in her voice, making me chuckle softly.

"Well then, he doesn't deserve someone like you," I said as I pulled up to the dormitory.

Emily didn't say anything after, so I just got out of the car.

I walked over to the back door and gently picked Emily up and shutting the door with my right foot and started walking over to the girl's dormitory.

*********

"Shit," I mumbled when I realized the door to Emily's dorm was locked.

I looked down at Emily, and I couldn't help but chuckle.

She was lying in my arms while playing with a lock of her hair, almost like it was a new toy she just discovered.

"Emily, where are your keys?" I asked.

She looked up at me and started shifting in my arms, making it hard not to let her fall.

After a few minutes, she finally lifted the key in the air, and I quickly took it and opened the door, making sure she won't fall.

A sigh escaped my mouth when I finally unlocked the door. I slowly walked in and kicked the door shut before walking over to her bed.

I gently laid her down before taking her shoes.

I noticed her eyes closed, so I just started walking over to the door.

"Luke?" I heard her mumble, making me stop dead in my tracks before turning around and slowly walking over to her.

"Yeah?" I asked softly as I sat next to her on the bed.

"Thank you," she whispered while slowly opening her eyes.

"You're welcome," I said softly as I leaned in and softly kissed her forehead.

"Can I tell you something?" She asked as I pulled away.

"Of course," I answered as a small smile formed on her lips.

"I think I'm in love with you," she whispered before closing her eyes again and turning to the other side so that her back was facing me.

I know that she was drunk when she said it, but my heart melted at her words before I slowly got up from her bed and made my way out of her room and out of the girl's dormitory.
