ANOTHER HAUNTING

In the silence of a cold winters night
I felt the fight for my life,
it was ten long minutes hearing so much screaming
it was an unearthly sound twisting in the crying wind,
I never thought it was going to end.
I looked around it was very dark and cold
I heard a voice so strong blowing in the wind
- calling out to me again-
my stomach started knotting up with fear,
just knowing Dark Angel is standing near.
I stood in silence looking at the fading moon
as the darkness started moving deeper in;
I stared, remembering the horror I felt long ago-
I tried so hard to let this past go, but it keeps
making it way back to me in darken dreams.
I would hear the sound of thousands of angry horses
plunging its way into the night, bringing on fright.
The way it sounds outside is like horsemen are out -
hunting for some or something, but what? I wonder.
Then I hear Dark Angel's voice calling out my name,
"Moonlight, don't try to hide from me-
you know I will always find you."
I truly know who they're looking for,
I just have hidden deeper into the darkness of my room
praying for this nightmare to come to its end.
It is raining again, and the wind is blowing in harder,
I am feeling the trembles of my broken past
making its way back fast,
Oh, here I go again, lost in this darkness again.
