If I look closely I can see what goes on.
If I look closely I can see what is wrong.

I can see the ones who try.
I can see the ones who deny.

From afar he laughs and jokes.
From afar she checks what she wrote.

Look up close, is what you see true?
Look up close, tell me how you knew?

Is he really the jokester, the laid back jock?
Is she really the nerd who always does her work?

Do we have the right to judge what we don't know?
Do we have the right to stereotype and tell them no?

That he can't be the hard working jock.
That she can't laugh and joke and mock.

How can we live if we're put into a box?
How can we live if we can't escape its locks?
