Our Beach

The waves crash, the birds cry,
The clouds gather in the sky.

The spray of the sea, the sand in my hair,
Is that a dolphin I see over there?

The hunt for treasure, the myths say it's cursed.
Who is brave enough to find it first?

The bitter wind, the swaying trees,
The leaves flying in the breeze.

The cats stalk their prey, the mouse unaware,
Breathing in its last breaths of air.

The scent of the flowers, the sweet smelling grass,
The view we see as we pass.

The crackling fire, the blazing heat,
A mug of hot chocolate, oh, what a treat!

The sound of laughter, a game with my friend,
I'm hoping this holiday will never end.
