My Obsession

Chapter Six: Froze

Previously...

"Eh Gaara?.." Naruto raised an eyebrow.

"Is that who I think it is?" Gaara turned to face us with a shocked expression.

"Gaara-kun!!!!" Naruto exclaimed.

"Naruto-chan!!" Gaara scooped my blonde angel off the ground.

The redhead hugged the blonde oh so tightly, not wanting to let go off the Uzumaki. Every cell and fiber in my body was screaming and was on a rampage. Something from looking at the way the holds the Uzumaki made me mad.

"I missed you Naru.." Gaara whispered to Naruto as he kissed his cheek.

What? What's happening? Why does my heart feel like screaming? And why do i feel like killing someone right now? I've had enough!

"Put him down Gaara!" I growled at the redhead.

"Sasuke?" Gaara let go of Naruto.

"Sasuke-kun?" Naruto glanced at me with pure concern.

"I don't like you holding Naruto like that," I said as I pulled Naruto by my side.

"Eh?... Sasuke-kun?...." Naruto's cheek flushed pink.

Present Time...

"Sasuke?..."

"I..." I froze on the spot.

My legs began to shake and my cheeks flushed red, I didn't know what to do. A chill spiral down my spine as my body froze in a snap, statue. Embarrassed, I ran without any thought in mind where to go. I just knew I had to get out of there, fast.

"Sasuke! Wait!" A familiar voice spoke from across the room, by seconds the voice became nearer.

With no control over my body whatsoever, I found myself in the indoor poolside area. Breathless I stood, confusion and embarrassment clouded my head and it started to drive me insane. Where can I breathe properly? I'm suffocating and perhaps lightheaded.

"Sasuke!" The same exact voice I heard five minutes ago appeared.

My heart too heavy and my mentality a mess, I couldn't bring myself to face him. Was it too soon for me to get protective over something that wasn't even mined, to begin with?

"Sasuke face me.. I'm getting worried you know?" He giggled to enlighten the gloomy aura surrounding both me and him.

"Sasuke please.." He forced me to face him as he cupped his delicate hands on my face.

"I.. I'm sorry Naruto.. I shouldn't have done that.." I forced a smile.

"It's alright Sasuke.. I'm sure you had your reasons.." He replied with an even bigger smile, brighter.

"I don't know what came over me at the moment.. I just thought that.. that he was invading your personal space, I guess.."

"I guess we seemed too comfortable with each other huh?.. It's just that.. I haven't seen him in so long. We go way back, preschool years to be precise. Even though we didn't go to the same school, we were pretty much inseparable when we were younger." He smiled softly.

"That explains a lot.." I forced a giggle.

"Yeah, since I moved to continue my elementary studies in the United States.. I haven't seen him since. Though we hear each other's name quite a lot since he pops up in the media often and I guess so have I."

Our legs swaying in the water, our bodies sitting next to each other, yet our gaze did not meet. His face calm as the water and his eyes sparkle from the reflection of the moonlight creeping through the big glass windows beside my pool.
