To say Steve was nervous would be an understatement. He was sweating profusely, his heart was thumping inside his chest and his leg just wouldn't stop quivering for some reason. He tried calming himself down by calculating his breath. One breath in and One breath out. He hadn't been involved with any other person ever since Peggy, which means since he was seventeen.

Until right now, until a certain Iron Man also known as the great Tony Stark became a part of his life. The man who consoled Steve in his worst tremors; who made him feel belonged in this new, unfamiliar world and most importantly, the man who gave Steve something to call his home, his own.

The mere thought of Tony calmed Steve down, normalized his heart beat and lowered down his erratic pulse rate. But what he felt yesterday evening, when Tony had asked him out, was the complete opposite.

Tony had gone for the simplistic approach. Right after they had defeated Ultron, Tony had taken Steve to a corner and then told him how he felt in the most heart-warming way possible. Tony's words and action were embedded on Steve's heart. He smiled remembering the scene from the previous day.

> "Hey Steve um, there's this thing going on recently" Tony looked nervous.

"Yeah? What is it?" Steve questioned unsure, and slightly concerned.

"Here" Tony took Steve's hand in his own lead it to his chest right above his heart as the older lads eyes widened at how loud and fast Tony's heart was beating "Yeah. This happens only around you" Tony looked sheepish.

His ears had turned red and his cheeks were sight but his eyes, oh but his chocolate brown orbs, they were fixated on Steve with the most warm that Steve had ever felt from anyone. It was the feeling that brought tranquility to Steve's disturbances; eased him when he was in distress; aided him as he walked away from his PTSD; and fulfilled every emptiness in his soul. Steve knew then and there that Tony was the one for him as he shyly smiled at the younger lad. <

They had decided to have a day out at their local shawarma place the next day and Steve was waiting just there, half an hour early reminiscing everything about Tony. Tony. Nobody could compete with Tony. Tony was just home. A home Steve went back to always, no matter what. And just as Steve thought about Tony, the Iron Lad made his way through the doors of the cafe leaving Steve at a short of words.

Tony had indeed gone an extra mile for their first date. How could he not? He was Tony Stark, for the sake of crying out loud! He had have a crush on Steve since childhood and meeting him again, working with him and as Steve drew Tony away from his loneliness, Tony had simply fallen in love with the man even more. So, last night when Steve had agreed to go on a date with him, he was over the moon. He had gotten all the things necessary and he had planned it just as it is.

Tony had dressed into a cowboy attire. Big brown boots, a chequered blue shirt, dirty brown jeans, a leather waistcoat woth two fake guns hanging from it, a neck band and of course, a big brown cowboy hat. Steve was confused and scored at the same time but beyond all Steve found it adorable. Tony, on the oter hand, just wanted to make their first date as memorable as possible.

"I didn't know we were having a costume party" Steve lightly snorted standing up to shake hands with Tony.
"Oh. This?" Tony motioned at his attire "We're going to the stables after this, HORSE RIDING" Tony excitedly informed Steve who looked back in shock.

Tony knew Steve loved horses and horse-riding so he had decided to do everything accordingly.

"Tony-" Steve started softly, feeling blessed to have this man sitting in front of him.
"No, Steve. We will go. Now shush, let's get some food. I'm starving" Tony grunted playfully as Steve coeed at his date's antics.
