Kayleigh's POV

I sighed as I sat in mine and Maria's room, bored out of my mind. It had been a week and two days since I've been here. Maria and the other maids were called in a meeting so I could not go.

I looked around for some books but there were none. Since I had nothing else to do, I decided to take a detour around this huge estate.

I walked down the halls of the 5th floor, the last floor.

These people are loaded!

I noticed that there were no guards in here, which was weird, because Leandro had guards all over the place.

The halls were now becoming darker as I kept walking further. It was getting scary.

I walked in a dark room, looking around for some sort of light. I found the switch and turned it on. I was in complete awe as the lights turned on.

There were all sorts of paintings and drawings on the wall. These pictures showed a lot of emotion. There was one drawing that caught my attention. It was a lady with brown curly hair, caramell skin, but I couldn't see her face. But yet, freakishly, that looked like me.

I brushed my finger tips on the drawing and couldn't get over how beautiful it looked. I heard some footsteps just outside the door. I was about to hide when suddenly the door flew open and Leandro walked in. He froze when he saw me.

I hadn't seen him in this past week. He stood there, his eyes turned from shock to anger.

Uh-oh!

"What are you doing in here?" He asked, his voice coming out as a growl.

I looked down at my feet. "I-I was bored, so I d-decided to do a little detour and I..." I let out a breath. "...I ended up in here."

He came marching towards me. "Look at me." He ordered. I raised my head to look a him.

"Did I tell you that you could leave your room?" He asked slowly.

I shook my head no.

"Exactly. You're disrespecting me in my own house, Kayleigh." He grabbed my jaw, he had a tight grip.

"No. Please. I'm sorry." I whimpered.

He smirked. "I love it when someone begs me."

Something in me clicked. I slapped him. "Let go of me, you idiot."

He stepped back, a little amused.

He chuckled. "It's a little early for punishments, cagna." ( bitch )

My breath hitched.

"Don't you ever come back in this room. LEAVE NOW!" he barked.

I ran past him. I reached my room and got inside.

"Hey hey, what's wrong?" Maria asked.

"Everything. EVERYTHING IS WRONG!" I said, kicking the mirror.

"Woah, woah, woah. Calm down, tiger." Maria said.

Breathe in, breathe out. That's it, Kayleigh.

I remembered what my dad would tell me whenever I was angry.

"I have to get out of here, Maria. I can't do this anymore. I've done everything right. I behaved, but he still will not let me go!"

Maria just sighed, not knowing what to do to help me.

Well, I knew what I had to do. If Leandro wasn't going to let me go the easy way, he was going to let me go the hard way.
