the twins and sam had rushed into the hospital asking for their parents.
alyssa: i-i'm her daughter.
nurse: yes well they are in surgery, we cannot give you any updates until they are out of surgery.
alyssa: and when will that be?
nurse: we never know sweetheart.
alyssa started to break down. so very worried for her parents..
sydney: thank you.
nurse: we'll let you know.
sam: thank you so much
as sam grabbed her hand to help her walk away, she shook it off and walked away from the two of them.
sam: bubbles?
alyssa: i just- i need to calm down.
sam: okay
sydney: want some company?
alyssa: i need to be alone
she walked out of the hospital.
when she was out of sight, sam and sydney had finished exchanging glances and both oulled out their phones, texting the one person they know she wouldnt reject.
finn.
sam: yo finn
finn: whats up? is everything alright?
sam: not really
finn: how's alyssa?
sam: she's the not really. i think she's gonna have an attack soon but she told us not to follow her. could you find her?
finn: for sure. thanks
sam: thanks to you as well
sydney: what'd he say?
sam: he's going to look. she'll be okay.
sydney : i'm scared.
sam: everything's gonna be okay.
sam walked toward the girl and captured her in a hug. holding her head to his chest as she started to cry.
she wrapped her arms around him and almsot started sobbing
sam: hey, calm down. you'll be okay.
his words might have come off harsh, but his tone was soft and gentle.
sydney didn't know why she started crying. nothing bad had even happened yet. maybe it was the shock of how her sister reacted. or maybe it was just because she's had all this emotion pent up and locked away, and this was a trigger point for her.
either way when she rose from sam's warmth, she sniffled and wiped her eyes.
sydney: now i know why alyssa finds you so comforting.
sam chuckled lightly at this and they headed to the cafeteria
sam: you hungry?
sydney: hospital food is terrible
he shrugged and smiled
sam: heard the jell-o's pretty good
she laughed and stood next to him in line.
they acquired their jell-o and sat down in front of eachother
sydney: you know youre not as bad as i thought
sam: you thought i was bad?
sydney: guess i just thought that because youre the one thing that would take alyssa away from me completely
sam: yeah i get that. so how are you doing? are you okay?
sydney: i'll be okay. thanks for taking care of us though, me and lys. it means a lot.
sam: i'm always here
sydney: thank you.
the two sat in silence eating their jell-o
occasionally telling a joke or two
sending eachother memes and whatnot.
while finn was frantically searching for the other twin
