LITTLE SPARK

17 3 2

Standing quiet and holding the cold railing of this lonely terrace I see,
The road I watch every night have lost its rush, have lost its light indeed.
The innocent giggles and sparkling sounds replaced the regular traffic noises
So I stayed smiling at smiles and laughing at the joyful voices.

A little spark made its way into the sky and I watched it go by,
Fulminated into an ignited dust and flickered down in a blink of an eye.
I smiled so bright, blinded by the glistening sight
But it turned into faint glimmers and faded so quiet

Nothing lasted more than a while, neither the ashes nor my smile
So I stayed calm on this clamorous night quashing all my thoughts that don't reconcile
Considering it's a day to celebrate the light and time to adore the rite
But Why do I find myself missing the stars on this bright night.
