THE WORDS OF MY SILENCE [poems]

CHRISTMAS NIGHT

It's almost a year since we left the promise of forever,
But still, it's hard to forget the memories we made together.
These days I miss your warm hugs the most.
Every night I'm lost in your thoughts.

Exactly a year ago, this was the time we were so happy,
I was into you totally.
Though the days were cold, our hearts were all warm.
With your hands in my pocket, we walked down the road so peaceful and calm.

When I kneeled down, you accepted me.
We had our first kiss under the Christmas tree.
It was the best Christmas ever.
But it's all gone within a year.

And now, these hands that always held yours, are feeling so cold.
My heart's feeling heavy holding in the words left untold.
This festival night seems so lonely,
I started missing you again deeply.

Now, as I walk alone on this Christmas night,
My heart is silently weeping inside.
Because everything I see,
Is taking me back to your memories.
