It was your birthday.
Thought to send you some wishes.
And
The words that would bring you my love silently.

It was Christmas.
Thought to send you some homemade cookies.
And
A cute card that would read out how much you mean to me.

It was the new year.
Thought to send you some flowers.
And,
A letter that could explain all those unspoken feelings.

It's your birthday again.
Christmas and the new year came along too.
Same thoughts and same hesitation,
And in a blink it's your birthday again, yet again.

Years passed,
and my feelings grew.
Stupid me never left a sign,
But to the core I missed you.

Now that I'm telling all these loud enough,
Tears of grief are streaming down instead of the happy ones.
Cuz you are not here to listen.
You left me this cold stone to hold while you peacefully rest beneath the ground.

It was all my fault, I thought we had more time.
