I groan as I start waking up my mind a bit foggy as I attempt to sit up...only to have a burning pain shoot up my leg causing me to yelp out in pain and go back to lying down. "I would advise against moving at the moment" my head snaps around to find the voice and I see a woman dressed in what I think is a purple nightgown

"w-who are you? w-where am I?" the woman sighs" I am patchouli knowledge the magician of the scarlet mansion but you may call me patchy if you would prefer" I stare at her for a moment " u-um where am I? wait! where yang?! what about the people attacking us?!" she seems a bit surprised for a moment then goes back to her monotone face."I'm sure they're fine as to where you are you're in the scarlet mansion." I give off a sigh of relief although I'm still a bit worried before my face becomes one of confusion" scarlet mansion? where in patch is that?" she sighs again" it's not for the matter of fact it's not even in remnant you are currently in gensokyo" I stare blankly at her for a minute gensokyo? I had never heard of that and what did she mean not in remnant? "before you ask ill just tell you now you're in an entirely different world if not a dimension entirely." . . . . "WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!"

she cringes at the high pitched scream while many other maids in the mansion jump and look towards the room in confusion at why it produced such a high pitched scream. "ow...can you not scream in my ear....its bad enough with my asthma I don't need a massive headache too" patch complained "I-I'm sorry but that can't be right how can I not be on remnant!" she just gives me a look" ok ok I know it may be hard to ...process but you were saved and brought here and yes this proves the multi-universe theory but that's beside the point you just woke up and to be honest, you have woken up far sooner then a normal human your age would I'm slightly impressed about that."  I just stared at her blankly but before I could say anything another figure comes into the room with knives in her hand at the ready

"Is everything alright I heard a scream is there an intruder?!" I stare at the figure trembling "calm down Sakuya it was just the kid no need for alarm she just found out she's no longer in her home universe after all." the maid blinks a few times before sighing and putting her knives away" I apologize then I was simply acting out of instinct" she turns to face me and my eyes immediately lock on to hers as sliver meets silver"hello I am Sakuya Izioyi I'm the maid of the scarlet mansion and will be your...' sighs can't believe she's saying this "caretaker while your here" my eyes go wide. "y-you'll do that? f-for me...I-I don't want to be a bother." she sighs before putting on a light smile" it's alright you won't be a bother besides id be used to it since we have a gatekeeper WHO DOESNT DO HER JOB!" a surprised gasp can be hears followed with a 'please don't hurt me I'm sorry! ' I blink whoever that gatekeeper is must be terrified of her if all it took was a yell to get that reaction I just look back at her and for a split second her image overlaps with mothers  

sakuya seems to notice the longing look in my eyes "patchouli could you step out? I can take it from here." patchy seems to think for a moment before nodding and walk out of the room as I look down. I suddenly feel myself in a warm hug and looked up to see a surprising soft smile on the woman I had gotten stern vibes from. "you lost someone important ...didn't you?" I choke a bit on my words fighting back tears it had been so long since I had been hugged in a mothers embrace I felt the dam break and cried into her arms I missed mom so badly why did she have to leave?

*sakuya p.o.v*

it hurt seeing such a young child be this broken to lose her mother at such an early age. if it was anyone else I might've gotten them better and gave to Reimu but for some reason, I just can't let myself do that to her...I will protect this rose and nurture her until she is ready to go back but I'm going to make sure that she won't have to worry about those murders ever again..but how?...after what felt like hours she looks at me bearing the same silver eyes as I do albeit a bit red at the moment."s-sorry..you just reminded me of mom..she was the only other one with sliver eyes that I had known...i-i thought I had gotten over it...but I guess I didn't..." I slowly pat her head..a bit odd since I wasn't used to this after all..and I held her until she looked at me once more"t-thank you...y-you know...when I grow up... I wanna be just like mom..and be an even greater hero!..t-that is my promise to her..." I think about it for a moment and then make up my mind"you want to be the greatest hero? alright then...il train you..." her eyes went wide like a cat....that...that look should be illegal that is super cute...
