Unedited.

It's been a week after Airah was discharged. Mahmoud had adviced to not tell her big events she didn't remember as it may affect her too much. After diagnosing her with retrograde amnesia.

So everyone has been walking on ice around her. She has been very curious owing to the number of faces she doesn't know that came to see her and her father's health condition. She knows she has lost alot of memory.

"Ummee, at least tell me what happened to Abba. It's been the constant thing on my mind. I keep trying to see if I can remember what happened but nothing comes up." she begged her mother.

Ummee stopped what she was doing and walked to the bed.

" Airah, you can't remember because your mind is not ready too. I promise you once it is everything.... I dont need to tell you. It will all come back to you."

"But what about Deedee and her family? We look pretty close but I can't remember them or meeting them."

"They are like family to you Airah, just let it be like that. "

Airah knew she would get nothing from her mother. She has been treating her like an egg ever since she woke up not allowing her to carry even a cup and now she won't let her know anything too.

Just as she was about to ask another thing, anty safiyya popped her head in the room.

"Patient, you have a visitor."

"Who is it? " ummee asked.

"It's a lady, she says she's from her work place. "

Ummee told her to let her in.

The lady salamed and they both answered her.

She walked in and respectfully greeted Ummee. Ummee cheerfully answered her asking about work as Airah tried to see if she can remember her but as always she came up blank.

So she smiled all the while as she asked about her health.

She wished her rapid recovery and bid them adieu.

As soon as she reversed out of the house Amrah smiled to herself.

'It's true then' she thought.

She drive home feeling grand.

"She really lost it daddy. I went into her room chatted with her mother all the while she was smiling like a damn fool."

"See I told you so no need to kill her. No marriage shall take place with the case at hand. So you have enough time to work on Areef and make him change his mind. "

"WE  daddy, and yes, we do."

She smiled widely like a chesire cat.

"Areef you need to calm down. We've got to trust the police. They promise to do their best. Let's give them time. " Kabeer tried to reason with Areef.

"Kabeer she's in that state because of me. I just know it. Whoever has done that to her was because of me. She's too innocent of a soul to make anyone do that to her. It was to get to me Kabeer and I Swear whoever has done this will pay dearly. "

Kabeer's phone rang.

"It's your sister. Give me a minute. " Kabeer alighted the car.

Areef asked himself why Kabeer would excuse himself to answer Deedee's call but kept it to himself.

"She said to tell you she's taking the kids over to Airah's. "

Areef was quiet for sometime. "Is it really okay? You know how the kids can be. They can say anything which might.... "
