I grasp his sleeve to try to stop him from walking away.
"I can't, she's waiting for me.",
he shooks off my hand as he starts going after her.
I stood there,
watching,
as he disappears from my sight.
tears began to flow down my face.
"we made a promise didn't we Meli?"
that you'll always be by my side,
that I'm the only one that you'll ever love.
what ever happened to us? our promise?
"I give up."
there's no point in waiting for him to remember.
it's taking over of again and I have no way of stopping it.
"Oh, Meli... how many centuries has it been since I've last felt your love?"
thinking of all the things we shared,
that now he could not even remember,
