Heated and Thunderous Returns

After the positive comments I received, I decided I'd quickly update this before moving towards The Mad Arc, for those eager for it. Also, at the end of this chapter I have a question to ask so stick around for that.

=Flashback: Beacon, 3 days before explosion=

Jaune, walking down the halls of Beacon, promptly ignored all the whispers of those passing by him.

Its been like this since his transcripts were leaked, always the glares, whispers and beatings. Honestly, it shouldn't be a good thing to have such a high pain tolerance, but he does.

As of now, Jaune has a free period so he could do anything he wanted too, so he decided to head to the training grounds and test himself against the bots they have there.

At least he would have, had he not bumped into a certain Schnee.

Looking downwards, he could see Weiss picking herself up off of the ground, right before looking up at him with a withering glare.

"Watch where you're going Arc, otherwise I won't be so lenient next time." she said.

Hearing what she said, he couldn't stop the dismissive snort coming out of him. Weiss didn't take this lightly.

"What's so funny dunce?!" Weiss demanded of him.

Instead of answering, Jaune simply reached into his pocket and pulled out his scroll. Finding what he wanted, he showed her what appeared a message conversation.

=Son, after hearing of your falsified credentials from the staff at Beacon, I'm afraid this was inevitable.

As of this moment, you are no longer an Arc. I expect to have Crocea Mors returned within the next week at the latest. I will provide a substantial amount of Lien for you to settle down, but that is all.

Do not try to contact me, your mother or your sisters again.

Reading through it one more time, Weiss widened her eyes in shock.

"You, you're-"

"No longer an Arc, as it says." Jaune cut her off, seeing she couldn't formulate a stable sentence. "My dad heard about my transcripts, so he disowned me. On top of that, he said not to message any one of the family ever again. Hope you're happy Weiss, since I have now lost almost everything that ever mattered to me." he said, glaring at her with anger and sadness.

Taking a moment to wrap her mind around it, Weiss asked one important question (at least, for her anyway).

"Is this supposed to make me feel guilty and regretful? Because you're failing miserably like always." she questioned arrogantly.

Putting his scroll back in his pocket, Jaune looked her in the eyes and said the one thing that will forever define their relationship, regardless of any attempts to reconcile.

"What was I doing, wasting my time trying to get with you?" he asked, not only her, but also himself, before walking right past her not waiting for a response.

Weiss could only stand there in shock, having been easily dismissed by that faker. 'Who does he think he is, trying to get me to feel even slightly remorseful? Does he expect me to suddenly feel regret for everything to him?' she questioned in her head.
