Soda and I laid on my bed at Bucks, looking into each other's eyes.

'Y'know, I was meant to work today.' I smiled at him.

'Why didn't you go?'

'I would rather spend time with you.' We both leaned in, smiling. We kissed for a few minutes before I felt his tongue press against my bottom lip. I pulled away, blushing like crazy.

'I'm sorry.' I squeaked out, looking in his eyes.

'I- oh- I- It's okay.' He turned into a spluttering mess. My cheeks grew to an even darker shade of red.

'I've just never really kissed someone like that before.' He looked at me, wide-eyed.

'Oh, I didn't know. Sorry baby.' I smiled. Baby. He ain't ever called me that before. He sat up on the bed, staring at me.

'You're beautiful, you know that?'

'I could say the same about you.' I blushed.

'Nuh-uh.'

'Uh-huh.'

'Nuh-uh.'

'Uh-huh.'

'Nuh-uh.' A slight grin appeared on his face.

'You better agree with me or I'll have to make ya.'

'Nuh-uh.' I winked at him. He chuckled as he began to tickle me. I sat there, not reacting. He had a defeated look on his face.

'Ya know, you're the only girl I met that ain't ticklish.'

'Shoot SP, maybe I'm different from all the other girls you've met.' I smiled wide.

'Maybe I ain't tickling you in the right spot.' He began tickling behind my knees as I screamed.

'No! Soda! Stop!' I laughed like crazy, barely being able to speak a full sentence without laughing in the middle of it. I tried to slap him, my attempt only being met with more tickling. Eventually, he gave up, laying back down beside me. We laid there for a few minutes in silence before I spoke up. 'I'm thinking about dropping out.' There were a couple of seconds of silence until Soda replied.

'Don't.'

'Why?'

'It ain't worth it.'

'But I can get a job, I'll work at the record store or something.' He sighed.

'That's what I thought, but it ain't that easy. I'm gonna be stuck in this town until I die cuz I don't make enough money to get outta here. You have a chance to go to University and do something with your life. I don't want you to get stuck here like me.' I frowned, staying quiet. We were interrupted by a knock on the door.

'Who is it?' Soda spoke up.

'It's me.' Johnny's replied, opening the door.

'Hey, Johnny.' I sat up, smiling. He smiled back at me, dropping his backpack at the door. Soda hopped up.

'I should get going. See ya, Johnny.' He walked past Johnny, almost out the door until he turned. 'I'll pick you up at 7. See ya, baby.' I smiled at him.

'See you later, SP.' He took off out the door, the last thing I heard was the roar of Darry's pickup engine. I laid back down, the smile not leaving my face.

'I'm guessing you guys sorted it out?' I turned my head to look at Johnny.

'Yeah, I guess so.' Johnny chuckled as I got comfortable. 'You moving in here?' He went wide-eyed.
