13- Would You Like To Go With Me?
"So, how was your weekend with your dad?" Roxy asked cheekily.
"Ugh. It sucked." I groaned.
Except for the part where I saw Alex.
Shut up brain.
"Amy was decent...ish." I shuddered, remembering her words.
Mia and Roxy laughed.
"Anyway did you hear about the party that Aaron is holding at his place?" Mia asked excitedly.
"Nope. And why would I care?"
"Because Chase invited me as his plus one."
"And Ethan invited me as his," Roxy said.
Then looked at me as if expecting something.
"What?" I asked
"Didn't Alex ask you?" Roxy asked curiously.
"Ask me what?"
"To be his plus one," she said as if it was obvious.
"What no. Why would he do that?" I asked confused.
"Because he li-" Mia started but then Roxy nudged her. "Oh uh because he likes tequila."
"What the fuck. What does that have to do with anything?" Roxy cursed.
"Watch your language kiddos." I scolded.
"Yeah. Yeah. One second I gotta talk to Mia. In private." Roxy said dragging Mia out of the cafeteria.
"Wow ok. Just leave me here. Alone."
"Talking to yourself again Hazel?" a voice startled me.
"Ah! Oh my god, Alex don't freaking scare me like that." I warned and he laughed.
"It's not funny," I said weakly. That made him laugh even more.
"So what are you doing all alone Hazel?" he asked resting his chin on his palm.
"My friends decided to ditch me," I explained. "They wanted to talk in private."
"Looks like we're in the same boat Hazel," he said.
"Your friends ditched you too?" I asked surprised. "Looks like not everyone wants to be with the all famous Alexander Anderson."
Then I ruffled his hair.
Why did I do that?
His cheeks turned pink.
"Don't mess up my hair," he muttered.
"You're blushing," I stated.
"No, I'm not."
"Yes, you are."
