If there's one word that Shinobu would describe you, it would be reckless.

The Insect pillar has known you for years, being one of those who also took the final selection in the same year as her. Shinobu won't forget the day when you suddenly intervened her for slicing the demon's neck by appearing in the tall dark woods.

The smile you gave was carefree, the way how you swiftly kick the demon's face away from her and how you sliced its neck with a vivacious grin crept on your face. It was ludicrous for her to be honest; she couldn't comprehend how you represent such a smile while killing the grisly demons sneaking in the woods. It was incomprehensible for her that she couldn't help but stare at you gleefully slicing the demons' necks.

And for the second time, she admired someone other than her sister. An outsider and just a fellow demon hunter that actually grabbed her attention.

Shinobu also perceived you as the philanthropic type of person; whenever there's someone who is in need and asking for your help, you would instantly help them without stuttering. A big smile would flatten on your lips as your eyes twinkle in delight helping others. Shinobu couldn't tear her eyes off of you, she was indeed attracted at the little things you've done and she could sense the sincerity in your heart while helping out others.

However, being too kind was one of your weaknesses as well. Too helpful for your own good that led to you being maltreated and becoming unwell. In spite of you feeling your body being enfeebled and doing the things that are taking a toll of your body, you're still overexerting yourself just for the sake of helping someone. Although your body is at its limit, you're overcompensating yourself to which Shinobu couldn't help but be annoyed at your recklessness.

You're not taking care of yourself and looking out for your health, you're going to prioritize others before you. That's what she dislikes about you; too soft and generous that you're too purblind to see what are the consequence that will befall on you.

That's the reason why you and Shinobu became close since every time you fulfilled your missions, someone would bring you to her estate and she'd be the one who'll treat the injuries you earned from your previous battles. Shinobu became accustomed to you who would be brought into her estate because of the severe wounds you've got.

Although she would frequently scold you for being heedless, it seemed like you're not taking her words into your brain and remain unyielding instead. Every time she does that, you would merely smile or laugh because of her unending castigation.

Shinobu owns respect for you, despite you're not a pillar yourself, you really are indeed a potent demon hunter ー though she's a bit irritated of you being too heedless and not contemplating before you engage in battle.

Due to her always peering at you from afar, she apprehended one day that she harboured romantic feelings for you which she as well didn't expect that she would grow such intimate feelings for you.

Frankly speaking, it was inevitable, it was inevitable not to fall for your charms; the benevolence and generosity you give everyone, the kind smile that won't ever be removed as if it's forever engraved on your face, your laugh that would make her heart erratically pound in her chest and resound in her ears. The blatant gentleness within your (colour) orbs that was reflecting in the sunrays and even in the moonlight, which she couldn't avert her gaze away due to how mesmerizing your eyes were.
