When it all Came Back. (An after Blood Of Olympus story)

Chp. 2- Pie? Pancakes?

I didn't even realize, that at some point I had fallen asleep. I didn't hear the sounds if Festus's wings flapping anymore, so I figured we had landed.

"Morning sunshine." He said.
I couldn't help but smile.

"Morning Repair Boy." I said back. I noticed we we in the middle of a highly secured lawn, with lasers going over the top and a huge mansion. Festus clicked with concern.

"It's okay boy. I won't let that happen again."
I heard strained sadness in Leo's voice, so I didn't ask what happened here.

"Where are we?" I ask.

"On our way to happiness, Sunshine."

Gods I loved him.

I sit up, with a crick in my neck from sleeping on the dragon. I smell a weird smell, a fragrance I had never smelled before. I notice Leo with a small little oven and grill holding an oven mitt and spatula. Odd combination.

"Breakfast, my Dear." He sets a pan and plate of stuff I didn't recognize on the table looking thing on Festus, since he had magically pressed a button and a dining table, small kitchen, and even a little radio. It was adorable, even a candle on the table.

"What's all this?" I ask.

"Enough with the questions. Just eat. I know you MUST be starving, and Chef Leo has made a meal for two." He sits down in the of the chairs at the table. I stare in awe.

"How did-" I start

"It's a full kitchen. I press this button and it springs out from him. Handy for those times on the go, or being lazy. I call it, The Super Awesome McShizzle Grill on the Go." He beams.

I let loose a laugh I had been holding for so long.

I sit on the chair across from him, and poke at the weird round dough things and, I think it was a pie.

"It's called pancakes. And a pie." He says with a mouthful of them.

"Oh Calypso, please tell me you have had pancakes before." He shoots me a look of worry. Then gasps.

"CALYPSO WHY DO THEY NOT HAVE PANCAKES ON OGYGIA?!" He yells half-heartily.

"Well, I didn't know they existed. Life in isolation, remember?" I chided him. Leo busted out laughing.

"Well, Sunshine. Today shall be remembered as the day you had a pancake." He says in a fancy accent. I laugh. And take a bite.

A few hours later- well to be fair I had just learned what hours were. Eventually, Leo taught me because he was tired of explaining every time I waned to know how much longer it would be until we reached our destination.

Anyways, Leo had pulled a pillow pet out of his tool belt- and no matter how hard he tried I didn't understand the meaning if a "Pillow Pet" but, I still napped on it.

I hear a gentle thud, the sound of Festus landing. I quietly hope this was the last time landing. I open my eyes, and see Him looking at me intently.

"We're here, Sunshine."
