You didn't want to get up from your bed. It was almost as if all the negative emotions you were feeling were weighing you down. Your comforter was just way too comfortable and cosy as it protected you from the cold air. Music was still playing from your Bluetooth speaker.

The whole ordeal had begun when you found a picture of Peter kissing you as you cleaned your room. After you spent a few minutes staring at every small detail of the picture, you just felt as all motivation drained out of you. Things had gotten worse after Homecoming, as much as you tried to hide it, that feeling of emptiness was still present in your heart. You could feel it.

Michelle had tried to distract you from everything, however, it was all to no avail. You  would always end up crying over him. But at the exact same time, you were just incredibly confused. You missed the feeling of Peter's lips moulding together with yours during sneaky kisses in the hallway between classes.

Or the warmth of his hand when yours was freezing and he'd hold it to make you feel better. Hell, you even found yourself missing May so much. All that revolved around Peter's world, had become yours as well, especially because you spent so much time with him.

Even though you missed him, you still could not help but be so mad and disappointed at his behaviour towards you. He had been treating you like you were nothing. It was so enraging to see him move on so quickly and with your best friend. However, it was also so sad to know that you didn't know Peter Parker as well as you thought. Not one damn bit.

You dropped the picture and stood up abruptly when strange noises were heard from outside your window, on your fire escape. An untouched can of pepper spray sat on the bedside table. Peter had always been so paranoid about your safety, which was the reason he gave you a can of pepper spray.

You walked to the window with your heart beating loudly and the can of pepper spray on your hand. Much to your surprise, there was nothing there other than a piece of paper pasted on your window with a sticky substance. You opened the window so you could grab the note and sat down on the bed to read it.

I know I don't deserve it, but... Meet me at our spot tonight, usual hour. You won't regret it.
-Peter

You read the note once again to verify if it wasn't just another joke. It couldn't be though. No one knew about your secret spot... Not like it was the biggest problem, I mean, should you even go? After all, Peter was right, he didn't deserve it.

For another second you debated whether or not telling Michelle was a great idea because you knew she'd immediately protest and do anything in her hands to stop you from going. A big sigh of frustration escaped your parted lips. You looked at the time on your phone and decided to go. Just minutes before, you were crying for him and wishing he'd reach out to you to try and fix things and he finally was, so you'd be a fool if you didn't hear him out especially after receiving a message from Ned saying:

Please go, he really needs to see you.

You walked out of your room after putting on a sweatshirt over your normal t-shirt since nights were starting to get chilly in New York. Your heart was pounding so hard you thought anyone you passed next you could hear it clearly. A sigh left your lips, why am I doing this to myself?

You were really scared to even spot him at school so you didn't know how you'd handle being face to face with him after a while of not talking.

You sighed deeply as you looked ahead of you. You had finally reached the secret spot. It was a treehouse in the backyard of an abandoned home. So many things had happened at that place when you were still with Peter. A small smile made its way onto your face just from remembering.
