When the ball makes to motion to hurt him but raises higher showing them where a ledge was. Arthur made a safe assumption that thus ball of light was not going to cause him harm.
So straining his arm he pulled himself up onto the ledge using the light ad a guard. The light continued higher showing a way out. On the way up Arthur.spotted what he was here for the Mortaeus flowers on the wall.
"Leave them, Arthur." Merlin hissed urgency spiralling through him. He could let Arthur die not here, not now, not ever.
A loud screech prices through the air as hundreds of spiders coming crawling toward a Arthur. "Go. Save yourself. Follow the light." Merlin urges.
Arthur looks towards the eight legged beast before making his way to flower snatching it. He quickly placed it in his pouch as the spiders defend quicker and Arthur races higher now following the ball with completely blind trust.
"Faster. Go faster. Follow the light! Move. Climb." Merlin begged glancing at all the spiders nervously. He was never a big fan of spiders but giant spiders now that was just messed up.
After a lot of sweat and swings Arthur reached the rope of the cave exiting right as Merlin undid the spell allowing the light to fade away.
--
Artura looked down at her home, Camelot. She sighed taking last breath of freedom before going into the world of judgement and stares mostly from her own father.
She nodded to herself grabbing the reins and pushing the horse forward from a little trott to full blown sprint she need to get these flowers to Merlin.
As calmly as she could she rides up to the gates as.the open them up someone taking her horse who she nodded in gratitude.
Before she could get deeper into the city grounds she was blocked by her fellow knights. "What are you doing? Let me pass." Artura demanded her calm serenity quickly evaporating.
One of the newer knights nervously glanced at Gregory who stepped close almost as if to challenge her. "I'm sorry, Sire. You're under arrest, by order of the King." Her jaw clenched, but knew that a fight would waste precious time she would have to wait for someone willing to bring the flower to Merlin.
--
Artura paced the floor as her father entered temporarily dismissing the guard so that they could speak in private.
As soon as they were gone his eyes might as well turn have been a sword stabbing Artura in the chest. "You disobeyed me." Uther said in an unnerving calm voice.
Artura sighed coming to a stop doing her best not to shake before her father as she spoke. "Of course I did, a man's life was at stake. Do not let Merlin die because of something I did." Artura begged.
"Why do you care so much? The boy is just a servant." Uther wondered examining her closer. She took a nervous step closer. She too wondered the same thing, but prayed she would do it for any servant not just Merlin and it was some sort of selfish act.
Alast that wasn't the speech her father wanted to here and the king was angry enough. "He knew the danger he was putting himself in, and he knew what would happen if he drank from that goblet, but he did it anyway. He saved my life. There's more. There was a woman at the mountain. She knew I was there for the flower. I don't think it was Bayard who tried to poison me." Artura spilled hoping to convince her father to not jump into an unreasonable wars.
I that's face curled into a sneer. Artura flinched at his words, "Of course it was."
Artura's hand shook as she carefully tool the flower out showing the King. "Gaius knows what to do with it." She simply stated her eyes following his every move. Uther delicately takes the flower examining it. "Put me in the stocks for a week, a month even, I don't care. Just make sure it gets to him. I'm begging you."
Artura was ready to bitterly beg if her King asked her to. The king looked down at the flower before crushing it. "NO!" Artura cried taking a step towards him.
The king's face was blank as he spoke no emotion present in his words. "You have to learn there's a right and a wrong way of doing things. I'll see you're let out in a week. Then you can find yourself another servant." Uther stepped out of the cell dropping the flower.
He began to walk away before turning back and spitting, "You are a disgrace to this throne."
Artura pushed back tears and the king left and the doors were closed she reached desperately for the flowers just barely out of reach.
